Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Fishers

Could it get any better? I think not. :-)

I've visited here often enough to feel certain that my experience(s) are not just a fluke: the staff is the most pleasant, bubbly, and friendly group of young people you could meet. The manager-owner, Leslie, seems to be a den-mother in the most positive of connotations. The young people here are just FUN to interact with when this grumpy old man comes by.

The frozen treats? Yum. Ice cream cakes... I always thought that just sounded "wrong" until I sampled the first one. It was excellent! Love me some of their fruit smoothies. The pretzel breadsticks? I believe my son would trade his mother or I for an order or two of the pretzel breadsticks.

So, I normally work on the NW side of Indy. The fast food restaurants are often populated by grumpy and inefficient staff. (Exception: Culver's on 71st. They're great.) It's so nice to visit this Dairy Queen. Just like their desert's - they...

I simply cannot give enough praise 🙌🙌🙌 to this DQ location and their staff!!!! Rarely, do I ever get my order given to me remotely as I ask (yes, Sallly.. it's a weird special order), but this particular location has done it correctly for many years. Sadly, we moved far away but recently was back in town for a visit and stopped by here on 7.9.2019.... not only did they get my order correct, but they really went out of their way to make sure that I got exactly what I wanted (no, I didn't even ask I just placed my order and held my breath 🤞)....with so much attention given to the specific request that I asked for....when my order came through the window at the drive through it made me laugh with joy and anticipation...not even caring that the extra attention they provided was going to both cause me a tummy ache and cost me extra sweat in mileage for my next 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️😂😂😂. I don’t come to this location often, but when I have, it’s been a very good fast food experience. The food’s about what you’d expect for any Dairy Queen location, but I appreciate that if you eat your meal in the restaurant, you can go up and get your dessert later (a perk I rarely see in other fast food chains). Also, they typically bring your food out to the table. This makes it a lot more family friendly, which came in handy when I went to this location with my family when I was much younger.

I’ve also typically come during times where it hasn’t been crowded with my friends, and there’s nothing quite like getting to chat for a long while in relative peace. If I was at say, McDonald’s, I don’t think that would be happening. At this rate, it’s become a classic spot for us to hang out from time to time.

Overall, this is a restaurant with solid food and good service....
