Update: November 2023. Dropping 2 stars due to chronically poor customer service. Staff will not bag groceries sometimes (red headed guy most often) if I forget my own bags, instead just stand there talking to other staff or wait until another customer shows. Other staff stand in different sections talking about relationships, work complaints, etc. which normally I would not mind, but it’s like my entire trip they never stop or move. They will not help me find an item on the floor. One employee told me it was in a certain section, I go there and cannot locate it so ask the staff in that section and they say no, go back to the other section, never actually going to find it like they do at Harris Teeter, etc.
Finally, there is an odd thing going on in the last few trips: One item, really any container or bagged any item that I bring home that has multiples (buns, eggs, etc) always has one missing. An egg, a burger bun. The checkout person noticed it once as well when she opened the eggs and asked why someone would steal an individual one. I am guessing a serial shoplifter, delivery person or employee?
Original review: Not sure why they do not have more positive reviews or customers when I go. I love this grocery store. Clean, stocked well, easy returns, great products including bulk items, genuinely friendly staff. Much better service than Whole Foods, Walmart, Food Lion, Target or Publix, prices about between the Publix and Whole Foods, but great, regular coupons, including $10 off $75 often. Maybe it’s the location that they are not as busy? I don’t mind! Also, their store brand items are great, especially cleaning products. They work well and smell great, not chemical or artificial. They give about to expire goods to community orgs. I have been to other Sprouts on the west coast and they also have all the same great service and products, so their organization is doing lots of...
Read moreSprouts - Grand Opening ... Grand Closing. Yet another grocery store with sub-par service. We live right around the corner, so was hoping that our first experience would be nice enough to warrant repeat visits. However, the customer service was simply lacking. When we first walked in, there was an employee pushing a dust mop. She was doing it in a crowded area, basically following us until we finally just moved over to another aisle to get out of her way. How about going where there are no customers instead of making them feel like they need to move out of the way? Second, when we were ready to check out, my husband asked an employee who had been standing around (and looked like she was ready to check out customers) if she was checking people out. She replied, “Yes, but let me take this person who has a lot less stuff than you do.” The man she pointed at was walking toward us from behind. We could not believe that she chose to check someone else who came behind us as my husband approached her first. Then, as we were checking out, the person who was bagging put our warm turkey directly inside our bag without first putting it in a plastic bag to keep it from dripping everywhere. I didn’t realize this until I got inside the car and there was turkey dripping all over the inside of my car. Finally, my husband went to put our cart up and walked right by the employee who was collecting carts. She did not even nod or bother to take his cart although she was actively moving them. Maybe I’m just used to good customer service from places like Publix. It doesn’t help with the frustration that there is yet another grocery store within 10 minutes of all the others. I didn’t see much of a difference in terms of products offered at all the other stores. But the one thing that is different is the customer service – and that is what will keep people driving...
Read moreWasn't sure what to expect. The store is smaller than it looks from the outside. The aisles are narrow and, while they weren't really busy, we were bumping into someone everywhere we turned. I liked that they had an organic section but pricing was not competitive. Items I would buy at Wholefoods were priced the same. There were items I would buy at Lowe's Foods that were on sale here, otherwise they were higher or the same. Strawberries were already molded and they just opened the store. However, they weren't being refrigerated either. Every container was oozing strawberry juice. All of the bakery bread was hard. The selection of product was so so. The flow if the store was awkward. Usually, you walk into a store and the arrangement of displays help the flow of traffic. That's not the case with this store. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was adequate right now but not all of the business spaces were occupied. That will change as the stores get rented. I won't frequent this store, ...
