Read moreI had a strange experience at the Summer Moon Coffee drive-thru today in Simpsonville on my 1st wedding anniversary. We pulled up as the third car in line, and after we ordered a single quick drink for my wife, a car lined up behind us. However, the car in front of us inexplicably stopped before reaching the corner to the pickup window, staying right in front of us without moving forward or letting anyone else reach the ordering speaker.
After waiting a while and thinking they might be distracted, we honked—just a quick reminder. Still no movement. We gave it another honk, but even then, the car didn’t budge. After a few more quick honks, they finally turned the corner to pick up their drink, but then took a long time chatting with the employee. By the time it was our turn, we figured they must’ve said something about us because the manager greeted us at the window with a cold, annoyed attitude, asking, “Were you the one that was honking?” in a way that felt accusatory and rude.
I said “yes,” but her tone made it clear that they assumed we were being rude, even though we were just trying to keep the line moving for ourselves and the people behind us. The manager handed us our drink and added, “Well, the person in front of you wanted to pay for your drink,” in a sarcastic tone, making the situation even more uncomfortable.

Read moreTHIS IS A PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT!!! Summer Moon is the best at what they do! I WAS a patron to another brand coffee store until I happened upon Summer Moon roughly two months ago. I visited the store today and was Wowed again by the overwhelming packed parking lot at the store. I wanted to dine in to see if the service matched what I always get at the drive thru. I was unable to park and go in, but the drive thru is always a pleasant option! As I drove up to the window I was greeted by the same young man as before with a HUGE smile and a warm greeting!!!
His name is Erik and he makes my day every time I'm in the drive thru!!! I told him he was AMAZING AND HE MADE MY DAY TODAY!!! He is always helpful with suggestions on menu items, and I appreciate that so much. Please keep him at the window because no one can do it better! I wanted to tip him just for being nice, but I didn't because I don't know the tipping policy. So instead, I called in to speak with a manager to give Erik a KUDOS for a SUPERB job!
