Simply the best! I have been about 2 dozen times now (in just a few months!) and my whole family loves it!
Here’s what we have tried and liked, loved (and what we didn’t like, which is only one thing!)
Brisket! PRIME Brisket is hard to find, but they have it here at Smoky Dreams BBQ. It is unbelievably good if you know what you are getting. Brisket has a good deal of fat which makes it taste incredible, but for some people it might not be their cup of tea. Even if you don’t like fat, it is very easy to remove if you don’t want to eat the fat, it lines the outer edge and is VERY EASY to cut away. My daughter is eight and loves the brisket as long as we trim the fat. I eat that for her.
Ribs! Outstanding ribs. I don’t know what their secret is and they aren’t telling, but I’ve never had better ribs in my life. They are perfectly flavored and we have only gotten one order that wasn’t perfect, and even that one order was pretty good. But most of the time they are simply the best ribs ever.
Pulled Pork! Another outstanding choice. Reheats well too. It tastes awesome and the texture is perfect with the perfect seasoning and very little to no fat.
Pulled Chicken! Not my favorite on the list, but still very good when you are looking for a change from pork.
Mac and Cheese. Possibly the best macaroni and cheese ever. I love this stuff.
Baked Beans. These ARE THE BEST EVER. They are great, rich, sweet baked beans and there are large clumps of pulled pork mixed in with them. A bowl of these beans could be a meal in itself. I cannot express how much I like these beans. Best beans ever.
Sweet Potato crunch. I don’t like sweet potato crunch or anything sweet potato related. I like this. It’s actually that good. Probably too much brown sugar if you have diabetes. But it tastes great.
Ok, so what did I not like? I’m not a fan of the chicken wings. They are ok, but not my favorite thing on the menu. I’m keeping it honest here. They are the only thing I don’t like, so there’s that. You might like em - ask for a sample at the window, I’m sure they will let you try one.
There is really only one big flaw with Smoky Dreams BBQ. They aren’t open all the time. I cannot tell you how many times on a Monday or Tuesday I will get a hankering for Smoky Dreams and realize they aren’t open until Wednesday. We do a LOT of Smoky Dreams Wednesdays, because we got hungry for it on Mon or Tues.
Honestly, some of the best BBQ I have ever eaten in my life. I cannot rave enough about how much I like...

Read moreY'all... this place is amazing! I mean, I wasn't believing the hype from a little place in a parking lot, but man oh man this place is good. It is all the best things you think about Greenville. The owner was wiping down the tables and chatting with us about his recent vacation and then mentioned my favorite bbq place in Florida. I was really looking forward to the bbq when I found out he likes the place we frequent near Orlando. However, I wasn't convinced they could replace it. Well, my friends... I was wrong. I will start with the sides. The baked beans were spot on. I don't really care for potato salad, but I had to stop myself from eating the side of it I bought for my husband. It was really good and truth is there isn't much left in his side dish now. Then the sweet potato casserole. Best in town. Seriously... The best (my husband will have to just get his own sometime. I ate it. It is gone). So, let's get to the nitty gritty. The BBQ. Well, it most certainly did not dissapoint. I cant even decide on a favorite sauce, but the white sauce... I might could eat it with a spoon. And it is good mixed with their tomato based sauce. The smokiness of the meat was just right and it was still juicy, bit not too greasy. It was just really good. Best I have had. Yes, it might even beat the Florida place ! Oh and the price? How about $4.99 for the Jr sandwich plate for lunch? I am not sure why they call this a jr...it had a ton of meat on it. Such a good deal. So, regrets.... I didn't order the brisket or the homemade peanut butter pie. I am seriously considering going back for it for dinner. My hope... that this place never leaves because I now have new favorite and please oh please open a sweet shop. :) thank you so much for the fantastic southern hospitality and...
