Dort Financial Center — Local services in Flint

Last night we attended a hockey game between Windsor and home. It was a great game, awesome support for home team and great collective response from the crowd. It was a first experience at Dort and probably the last unless they step it up. There was melee in the reception area: several many long lines going nowhere to get tickets. There were no signs and nothing cordoned. Everybody was confused and there were no Dort personnel on the ground to help (unless you made it to the front of the line in which you were told it was the wrong line). Finally, when reaching the correct place to pick up tickets, we were told it was standing room only but for $4 we could get seats, which we purchased. Inside, there were many empty seats? Hundreds of people, 2 people in the box office but only one computer up. All good, ready for game time, I purchased a hot tea. The water was so boiling hot that I let it sit with the top off for a whole period and still couldnt drink it. (That's an accident and lawsuit waiting to happen just like McDonalds) I am a staunch supporter and lifelong Credit Union member... I'm sure we can do better with just a few...

My review is about the blues festival here in Flint, with Pokey, T.K. Soul, Nellie Tiger, Bigg Robb, and his sister. and Calvin Richardson. I think I am done with these so called shows, and they don't even have a band, they had a DJ playing music, they had a couple of band members that came out and played a few strokes, such as Maurice Davis who only played about 3 min and exited the stage. Calvin Richardson did come out and did a move with a little excitement. Bigg Robb had his band and he did excite us a little bit with his custom made sequine suit on which was really sharp by the way. They all sung old songs and didn't sing no new ones . I could have lip synced and got away with it too. They charge $10.00 to park, $10.00 for the watered down drinks. The seats, were horrible. That's my last blues show...

MY EXPERIENCE AT THE EVENT CENTER WAS EXTREMELY UNORGANIZED AND THE CONCERT WAS MISLEADING. ALTHOUGH THE STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL AND PLEASANT. THE "SOUL TRUCK MUSIC FESTIVAL" WAS HELD ON OCTOBER 29, 2016 AND IT WAS HORRIBLE. FALSE ADVERTISING THAT THE GROUP EN VOUGE WAS GOING TO PERFORM, INSTEAD AN EX MEMBER DAWN JONES WAS PERFORMING. AS N VOUGE. DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT STATE SHE WAS IN. SHE RECOGNIZED US AS FLINT, MISSOURI. NEVER ONCE SAID FLINT, MICHIGAN. THE GROUP LAKESIDE SHOW WAS CUT SSHORT DRIVE THE GUYS AT THE SOUND BOOTH LEFT. THE LEAD SINGER WAS SO UPSET THAT HE THREW A MICROPHONE STAND AT THE THE SOUND BOOTH. I DON'T BLAME THEM AT ALL, THEY DESERVED BETTER. NOT SURE IF I WANT TO ATTEND ANOTHER SHOW AT THE EVENT...
