Completely Unacceptable — Years of Being Ignored, Lied To, and Still No Resolution
I normally don’t write negative reviews, but my experience with Ashley Furniture in Flint has been so frustrating and disappointing that I feel I have no choice.
I purchased the Isanti dresser from this location along with their warranty protection plan, which promised to cover damage through repair or replacement. What I received instead was a defective product, followed by years of being ignored, misled, and brushed aside.
After filing a claim, I spent an unreasonable amount of time chasing down any kind of response—multiple phone calls, emails, and last-minute cancellations by technicians. When a technician finally came out, he confirmed that the dresser was defective and needed to be replaced. I followed up with his report, emailed it in, and called multiple times again. No one responded.
The one time I did speak to someone, I was told a supervisor would contact me and send paperwork to move the process forward. That never happened. I continued to call—even from multiple phone numbers—and was consistently ignored.
To make matters worse, I was told Ashley no longer sells the dresser, but I found it listed online myself multiple times. That felt dishonest and only added to the frustration.
It has now been years, and Ashley has done nothing to resolve the issue. I paid for both the furniture and a warranty that was supposed to provide peace of mind. Instead, I was ignored, given the runaround, and misled—while still stuck with a defective product.

Read morePlease read if you plan to do any sort of business with Ashley’s Furniture! This company is extremely unprofessional the products I’ve received were damaged. I purchased a 5000 bedroom set two years ago and have yet to experience my bed put together correctly. When bed set was initially setup it was rushed and the crew damaged merch such as drawers and knobs while trying to get me to sign off without checking setup. Whenever I have patron location in past. I’m never greeted at door like I can clearly see others being greeted. I’ve browsed around the store for almost an hour before someone has even said two words to me. The staff here are definitely trained to be discriminating and to service CERTAIN customers. I was disrespected by the store manager in front of other employees that didn’t even acknowledge the incident that unfolded before them. When you call for update on the status of order delivery etc. phone lines drop with the explanation of we are working on phone line which has lasted for several months at this point. I’ve had the worst experience with this company! I’ve attempted several times to cancel my business with them I’m forced to proceed without anyone offering me any sort of compensation % off really barely an apology for my experience. I had a service for the bed to be maintenance which I had to call several times throughout the day did receive an answer after calling for 30 mins selecting different options I finally spoke to someone that couldn’t understand I was calling for an ETA on my service order. Read morePurchase a living room set in February and have gotten nothing but delay after delay. With still no furniture. Every encounter with you has left with just more delays and still no furniture. Now we have an end of this month date that it is supposed to be in the store but still no delivery date. I would recommend no one dealing with you, I wouldn't recommend your store for a throw rug at this point. We came back in to try to get some answers and my husband tried to go ahead and give benefit of the doubt and asked about a chair, to which he was told it was on sale for $299. He told them we had something to do but we would be back, he was told it would be ready when we came to pick it up and was told because of the other issue with the sectional that he would cut him a deal. Some deal, now all of a sudden it isn't on sale but the break comes by getting the sale price....good thing I wasn't in there because at this point this is getting ridiculous!!! Now the other day he gets a call from you saying that our chair is ready that we can come get it now......we picked it up the day we purchased it, good thing for you my husband is honest and told you.
