Purchased a bag of leg quarters on Sunday. Upon opening the bag to clean I was hit with the smell of something rotten. I immediately returned the chicken to the store. After getting there and checking dates on all the bags they had left. I was shocked to discover that not only the bag I had purchased, but also the ones remaining on the shelf all had expiration dates of June 25, 2017. Really? It’s now July 8, 2017. That’s chicken from last month. Who does inventory of shelf life on a product? How do I contact DHEC? And the manager has the nerve to have an attitude for being called on her day off. I’m the one that should have the attitude, waisted time, gas, fluid, and charcoal. The Piggly Wiggly on Cherokee Road is the worst Piggly Wiggly I’ve ever visited. Revamp your store and take pride. Read moreThe store itself is okay but that deli. I’ve never encountered someone in customer service as rude as Shannon. She was so mean to the lady beside me, the customer apologized for shopping here. The guy working the fryer was very friendly and literally the only reason I spent money here today. If Piggly Wiggly wants their deli to be a success, they need to keep her in the back, away from customers. The food is good but customer service is imperative with inflation. The deli is a luxury, not a necessity and I will be more than happy to take my money elsewhere if I see her working again. The sweet elderly customer that she was snarky too already abandoned her...
