Was there Jan 24th around 6pm. We Came in to look at washers with the intent to purchase one. I walked up to an associate in appliance named RUBEN and asked him if he had any clearance washers. He replied, "not that I know of" I said okay, and he said "are you looking to take one home today?" I said yes. He then replied with "well I think we have one now that I think of it." (Starting off a little weird right?) He took us over it was a washer marked down almost 50% and I told him we'd take it. We continue to his desk in the middle of the appliance area and I explained to him I'd be using affirm which I have used with home depots in other places in the past without any problems. He replied "ive never heard of that" called customer service barely explained the situation to them because he obviously didnt understand it (sorry to say but he acted really arrogant) and they couldn't help because he wasnt explaining to them what we were trying to do correctly, he kept calling it "some kind of loan" even after i tried correcting him multiple times. He just wouldnt listen to what i was trying to say, then he started to get annoyed as if we had wasted his time telling us we needed a "real" card (
Read moreI am a high risk person because of prior strokes, diabetes, and high blood pressure. I tried to order online, but the site rejected my card. I finally got the site to work and placed my order. I checked back in a few minutes and found that one item had been deleted. I called Home Depot and the girl working customer service told me that I had ordered the wrong drill driver bit. She gave me the correct number and I placed a second order. When it was filled, I drove to home depot. A sign posted in the area previously designated for "pick up" orders now had a sign with small lettering. I tried to read it, but couldn't. I tried calling the service desk - 5 times and no answer. The sixth time someone answered, but told me that they stopped doing curbside pick up at 6 pm. It was a Saturday and it was 6:20 pm. So I went inside to pick up my order. I waited in line for @ 20 minutes and finally got to the customer service desk. There were three registers, four phones, and TWO associates working frantically to check people out and answer the phones. While I was picking up my order, one phone continued to ring and the girl giving out the orders answered the phone in the middle of my transaction. I told her that there needed to be more people at this desk, being the busiest day of the week. She agreed and handed me a bag and an unbagged item. She said thank you and turned away. I grabbed my cane that I am forced to use and walked back to my truck. Along the way back to the truck, I thought about my friend who I had purchased these to items for. I was building her a dog house. These two orders were for a small package of wood screws and a package of drill driver bits that totaled $10. How much trouble would a larger order been? And by the way - my debit card was good and the company software had malfunctioned. Hope Home Depot isn't depending on my continued service. And also, there were @ 20 cars total in the parking lot. Home Depot probably had more employees than customers in the store. If this is any indication of things to come, I am terrified!...
Read morepurchased 15 cu foot chest freezer, took them 2 weeks to get it to house because they just have the manufacturer ship it in but rarely stock things in store; workers banged it up even on bottom getting it to washer dryer area, flipped it over to install the casters which weren't going to do until kept asking, put them on wrong way which didn't notice until they'd left so had to turn it sideways again, let everything settle after turning right way up but in process noticed even bottom all banged up and huge dents from their use of handtruck, turned on and waited, hearing the ticking ridiculous timer of only 48 hours to return at which point would be run around from manufacturer and 'repair' that way...NEVER did form ice properly...2 weeks later and STILL waiting on REFUND of almost $500, should actually be more but HD said when ordering that a sale item available to everyone was still 'double dipping' to ask for their SUPPOSED vet 10% discount, and since disabled vet is on pension having to WAIT AND WAIT to get BACK money they took out DAY ORDERED is ROBBERY, will NEVER shop with them again, Lowe's doesn't have these problems AND they have store in Muscle Shoals not just Florence, and regardless of what anyone says Lowe's prices are almost exactly the same, any flyer or stroll through of the...
