I LOVE st Vincentâs as opposed to goodwill. They have great prices and the staff has always been friendly to me, until I met the store manager.
I bought a dresser with the price tag of $27 on it. It had a hutch on top and the hutch was labeled âshelfâ for $55. I refinish furniture so Iâm here buying furniture often and the hutch being nearly double the price of the dresser was strange to me so I pointed it out to the cashier when I purchased it. The store was packed so she didnt have much to say about it.
I came back a couple days later to pick up, and they took the sold sign off my dresser. I told them I was there to pick it up and they told me âno you ainât itâs $55â and I explained I didnât buy the hutch, only the dresser. They told me itâs one piece and that I have to pay the difference. I told them no, I only wanted the dresser and I already paid for it. They told me I couldnât leave with it and I either pay the difference or get a refund. Like what??? If I wouldâve walked away with it when I bought it youâd be out of luck.
She then inferred I switched tags to get it for a cheaper price. Which is still wild to me as Iâm there literally every other day buying stuff. A lot of the workers even know my baby that I bring often and look forward to seeing her. Why would I jeopardize being banned from a place I love coming??
After 10 minutes of going back and forth I ended up paying extra and taking the hutch. Honestly disappointed in the lack of respect and customer service.
This behavior from the STORE manager is completely unacceptable and honestly disgusting. Sad that this is my...

It was a teenager in front of me who had items that he purchased that he forgot and she took it upon herself to yell at him with an attitude totally uncalled for yelling at him like that. If I was the boys mother I would have addressed her. Don't work the register if you're having a bad day or if you don't like dealing...
