New York Grill 3 — Restaurant in Florissant

I chose this location because of rating and pictures. I didn't read the reviews. Big mistake. I wanted to buy my grandsons something good and solid to eat. First, I requested that they not put the condiments on the cheese burger. They put it all on there anyway. The cashier did her part because it was right on the receipt. So, can the cooks read or just disregarded the request. Next, when I got home I took everything out of the bag. I was so disappointed. The "Texas toast" was burnt not just overcooked but black. They had to have known because the burnt side was face up. What they're calling Texas toast is really a slice of garlic bread. Texas toast is supposed to be a thick square slice of white bread covered with butter and lightly toasted. The chocolate cake look like someone made it from a box spread icing on it and brought it to work to sale because they ran out. Look like someone who didn't know how to bake a cake. It wasn't even cut right. But, the cake in the display case look like it was made by a baker at a bakery Uh??? I was so disappointed. The salad was a wedge of lettuce with a slice of tomato on top and a sprinkle of grated cheese. This is not a salad. I thought it was the fixings for the cheese burger. I was trying to do something nice for my grandsons while their Mom was out of town. Here it is 0400 and I'm up writing this review. This is my first time ever writing a review, too. I'm so sick of poor service. When you spend this amount of money you expect better. Horrible. Stay away from this location. Or make sure to check your food before you leave. Poor Service and Food Quality This was our first time trying this New York Grill location after receiving good feedback from a friend. The order was placed online through Postmates.com and was said to be ready at 8:37 PM. My husband arrived around this time and waited till after 9 o’clock before the food was done even though the Postmates app stated that the food was ready at 8:37. My husband stated it was busy and seemed everyone’s orders were getting messed up so staff just acted annoyed by everyone. We spent over $80 in food for our family and were very disappointed with all items. The fries were soggy in all orders and too greasy- seeming the oil was not hot enough. Even tried warming the fries in the air fryer but we ended up throwing them out they were so bad. We ordered gyros and the gyro meat was cut up in huge chunks and was very greasy. We ordered 5 gyros and instead of 5 extra tzatzki we got 2 and 3 ranch dressings. My husband and son were fine but I then woke up in the middle of the night sick from the food and was up half the night. Attempted to call my order in, the female employee who answered acted as if she could not hear me so I told her that I would just come in to place my order. Visited the location, while placing my order that female employee acted as if she had an issue hearing me as well then walked away and had another employee to finish up my transaction and stated that I had an attitude. The female employee who finished up my transaction told me to allow 20 minutes. I returned at that time... waited while everyone else received their order. There clearly was an issue and honestly I think the female employee who stated that I had an attitude probably threw my ticket away which is why my order was never prepared. Another female employee provided me with a soda for my extended wait, nice gesture.... took almost an hour to get my order. Needless to say due to this experience I will NOT return to this location EVER! What needs to be understood is that if there are no customers then there are little to no employees and saying aloud that a customer has an attitude is unacceptable and unprofessional!
