Food Lion — Local services in Floyd

This Food Lion is only alright. Sale items are wiped out immediately and the stock seems to not really be replenished. Good examples would be drinks and the 5 green cantaloupe on the floor during a sale.

The produce section is really lacking at times. They are all either green or going bad when purchased. The bagged salad fridge must be kept @ freezing because anything we buy goes bad by the sell date. Our last (Food Lion brand) bag of potatoes had to be thrown out because they had a chemical smell that couldn't be washed off. We were afraid to eat them.

No one seems to be reading these reviews for their store and their stocking problems persist. Wife drove the 30 minutes and was only able to fulfil 90% of the grocery list. Frozen food was wiped out and had to ask an associate to check in the back. Was told a truck would arrive tonight. The items in question were not even on sale so this seems to be a Grocery Manager issue.

I had to delete my old review and change it to a 2 star after today's experience. I had to ask for store brand 2% milk not only for myself but for other customers because they didn't restock any store brand milk. Waited 10 minutes before another customer had to go back to the front to ask again. An associate came back, asked us what we wanted, came out with only the gallons requested, then headed back to the front without filling any. Cashier was rude, watching me struggle with a 45lb bag of dog food then when he had my receipt, I had to reach across to take it from him. Do something about the laziness of your employees when the store manager or front end manager aren't there! I am a retail manager and would never make a customer wait to assist them or watch them struggle lifting something heavy. Going forward, I will just order...

This is a handicapped accessible parking lot for this building in the parking is free this store is handicapped accessible. The store is quite nice and it's kind of refreshing to have a different kind of store to shop at that you're not shopping at just Walmart. The people in the store were super super friendly like they were one of your family. I went in just to get a few things and I came out with a whole bunch of things because there was deals on almost everything in the store. the only thing that I was trying to find and couldn't find was a probiotic chew, the kind that is crunchy not the gel.
