I deleted my review because I felt bad and I wanted to give them a chance to fix it. The way the owner reacted to the situation was so rude and unprofessional, I’m putting my review back up so no one else has to deal with this. It’s super long, I know.

From the beginning, I asked for bangs (first photo). Over the phone, they said walk in is fine. While Grace was cutting my hair, I apologized for coming in an hour before closing. She did my hair SO GOOD, I was so happy and pleased that I tipped her 30% instead of the usual 20% because I felt bad coming in an hour before closing and because I was just so happy that I was ready for Grace to be the only person I go to. My bangs were pretty long in the first photo, I would get poked in the eye a lot and I also wear glasses but Grace reassured me that once I used my hair roller it would lift so I left it alone for a week to test different styling techniques. I was still getting poked so I decided to call, I asked how much to trim and the lady who answered said don’t worry about it, just a quick trim. I come in, the owner says it’s $25, I mentioned the phone call and she said oh okay and no charge.

I have no idea what happened between the first time and this time. I asked for a TINY bit off. But she just chopped so much and it’s uneven. I gave Grace my hair roller to show me how to use it (some people start at the end, some people start at the top, I wanted HER technique). They’re completely two different bang styles now. I left a review but then I immediately felt like, okay you know what I’ll give them a chance to even it out or whatever. Deleted the review. Tried calling and they ignored me. My boyfriend called and the owner called back. This is where it went BAD.

She didn’t let my boyfriend speak AT ALL, the way she was talking was basically go f yourself, it was my fault I didn’t know how to style my hair (weird because I was really happy with my bangs and styling when it was too long, it was just a little long THAT IT, she was trying to make us feel bad for leaving a negative review because it’s a small business, told us we were ruining a small business. She said Grace had to close her shop, is retired and only works there part time. Again, basically kept repeating that it was MY fault that it came out bad and I didn’t know how to style it. Also mentioned how the haircut is normally $125 but gave me $65, but when I called over the phone before coming the first time, they said $65? I wouldn’t have gone if it was over $100. I had NO issues the first time, they were just a little long, that’s all. Just needed a centimeter off. I have no idea what happened.

To end this, Grace is a very very kind lady, she did mess up my bangs. The owner is what ruined this completely. The owners disrespect towards her customer, didn’t apologize for the mess up, blaming your customer when your hair stylist is the one cutting my hair, I didn’t cut it. I specifically came back because I didn’t want to mess up doing it myself. Again, Grace’s only fault is messing up. It’s the owner who handled this situation very poorly and what prompted to put my review back up for others to be aware, the other reviews are not lying when they say she is rude and disrespectful and very...

Update: please look at yelp for the pic messages proofs. Pathological liar. No i was not demanding i was confused and was very polite. I even asked why you were being so rude FYI Barber and Beauty does hair for woman and men. Hair cuts for both and does hair. I had moved out of state and looking for them. Im so glad i never wasted my time going. No i didn’t want a consultation but an estimate so i knew when to go and if there would be enough time for me to go after my shift. No dont compare a life threatening situation with a hair situation as u did on the google review. And even then there is a 24hr nurse advice line for special ocasions.

If I could give her a 0 stars i would. I was always taught to treat people with respect but this woman is something else and it was through the phone. I could just imagine what its like when shes in person. Not to mention that she searched me up on fb!!!!

I was upset of how you treated me and spoke to me when I was trying to figure things out to make it there becase I am a nurse and I work long hrs and late hours. I called the last hour this place was about to close and she told me to walk in... i came to this place with dead ends, dry hair, and blonde hair! I went in wanting to go back to black hair because I was just over the blonde already and did not want to keep up with it. She advised me with a color that was not black but not brown either, something in between.. she wanted to suite me with a color that if I ever want to go light again I’d be able to because it wasn’t very black and again, it was between black and brown. SO I took her word for it, she cut my hair and dyed it and OMG! I was so so so happy I went with what she advised me because the color she picked out looked black already! So if I would of went with the black i wanted it would of been just too black and i would of had not liked it. This lady KNOWS what she’s doing and wants the absolute best for her customers! Because that’s how I felt and that’s what I recieved, I WAS A HAPPY CLIENT and DEFINITELY will be going back to her for anything I want to do to my hair. I went in this place with dead hair guys! I’m serious and when I mean dead dry hair I mean fried! When I left... my hair was super super soft and shiny! I never thought my hair would feel and look the way it did before but thank you to this place my hair is back to how it used to be before I even bleached it!!!
