Five Below — Local services in Forestville

I went into this location today around 10 10:30 AM. A group of young Melanated boys walked in before they could get a foot in the door. The manager proudly and loudly stated each one of them better buy something or I’m calling the police already profiling them already assuming that they’re going to steal, I found it ignorant, rude disrespectful. The young men walked around and left out. I stayed in the store purposely just to make sure they were good because it was an uncomfortable situation. The manager needs more training and she needs to not profile individuals and assume that everyone of color is a thief And if she wanted to call the police, that’s her prerogative but wait until something actually happens before calling them thieves. Awesome. My 6 year old had to use the bathroom but was trying to hold it so she can continue to shop. I knew that wasn't happening, I tried my luck and asked a staff if she can use the bathroom? I was surprised of the answer..? Yes, he asked another stay to escort us to the bathroom. My daughter was able to shop peacefully. All because they didn't lie and say no! Great atmosphere. The store wasn't a complete wreck and the employees were actually working. One after another they asked if I needed help but it wasn't the over-bearing type of questioning.
