ALDI — Local services in Forney

On August 8, 2025, at the ALDI store located at 895 N FM 548, Forney, TX, my family and I experienced conduct from a cashier that we believe constituted deliberate racial discrimination.

When I approached the register, I asked the cashier if it was open. She confirmed it was, explaining she only needed to fill the cash drawer. We began placing our groceries on the belt, but instead of completing our transaction, she bypassed us entirely and served another customer.

This was not a misunderstanding. The sequence of events and her actions made it clear that we were intentionally skipped. As Hispanic customers, this treatment was humiliating, deeply disrespectful, and directly targeted at our ethnicity.

No customer should ever be treated differently based on their race, ethnicity, or background. This experience left us feeling unwelcome in your store, and it reflects poorly not just on the employee involved, but on ALDI as a brand. Discrimination of any kind is unacceptable and must be addressed immediately.

The Hispanic community represents a large and loyal customer base, and it is essential that your stores reflect values of fairness, respect, and equality. Allowing behavior like this to go unaddressed sends the message that such conduct is tolerated, which damages trust...

Always a great place for groceries. The Aldi brand is much better tasting than the national brands. the second isle has some really cool things, changes constantly so you never know what you'll find. The meats and cheese section are great. Prices are 1/2 what you'll find at Kroger , Wal-mart and Brookshires. Milk is usually $1.69 a gallon, that's cheaper than soft drinks, etc. Eggs are usually $.69 a dozen. The fresh 16" pizza's at the rear of the store are awesome. $5.99 each. Instructions say 15-20 min but we find 25 min at 4000 degrees is perfect. Better tasting than any pizza place in Forney. I can't say enough good things about the staff, the store or the products. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Aldi in Forney!! Good...

You will always find good deals here , but I was really not happy with the fact that carts are not been cleaned nor there was any hand sanitizer or disinfecting wipes anywhere to be used for self cleaning, I did notice there was a big pump bottle by entry door but not sure what it was as it was by the indoor window ,I do carry a pocket size hand sanitizer but thinking for the people who dont ,I seen every one returning the carts for the 25. Cents meaning were all using grabbing a used cart , spreading germs like wildfire because we just dont know, inside it was decent amount of people but when it came time to get on line it was about 8 people in front and 6 behind only one cashier until minutes later another...
