WARNING: DO NOT MOVE HERE. This is the nastiest apartment complex I have ever lived in. The entire property is infested with bugs and roaches. I lived in both apartment 812 and 2011—both were infected with bugs. When I first moved here, no one mentioned the bug infestation. After living in apartment 812 for a month, I started seeing bugs despite being a clean person who doesn't leave food out. The bug problem worsened over several months. The office offered pest control weekly, but the problem only got worse. Even my next-door neighbor had the same problem and moved out because of it. Later, the leasing agent told me that the tenant living behind me had a pest infestation before I moved in—information they never disclosed to me. The agent said I would need pest control every week, which actually made the situation worse as I was exposed to chemicals weekly. I was buying bug spray every two weeks. I understand that every apartment will have occasional bugs, but I never had issues that required buying bug spray so frequently. I asked Sherry (Manager), "Why would you move me into an apartment that was already infested with bugs—that you knew about—and still charge me $1,800 in rent? That is unacceptable and takes advantage of residents." She acted like she didn't care, just looked at me and said "sorry." Sherry offered me the option to move to apartment 2011, and I decided to give the complex another chance while I was laid off. Unfortunately, this apartment was infested too. After that, I had enough, and they offered to let me break my lease. I had to throw almost everything away, including furniture I had owned for only a year, because I didn't want to transfer the bugs to my new place. There were bugs everywhere: in the bathroom, on the walls, in the shower, freezer, refrigerator, and floor. During my final week, the infestation became so unbearable that I had to stay in a hotel. Throughout my entire tenancy, I dreaded coming home after work. I paid my hard-earned money for rent only to live in these deplorable conditions. I felt too embarrassed to invite guests over, knowing they would witness bugs crawling up the walls and getting into my drinks and food. Here below...
Read moreWouldn’t recommend these apartments to anyone even if you’re desperate . My husband and I have had a terrible experience renting here for 9 months . They state the apartments are clean when you move in but we have found hair in the bathtubs and sink , dust, dirt and bugs in the window seals ,and dirty air filters making the place stink like horrible rotten fish. The apartments are nice but definitely not worth all the hassle and trouble that comes along with them . There is a consistent pest problem with spiders and crickets Inside. The walls are extremely thin you can constantly hear the neighbors on the sides of you and above (including intimate things you shouldn’t hear ) !! We transferred to a 2 bd after 3 months and constantly had a problem with the neighbor behind smoking marijuana inside the apartment so much it filled every room in our apartment including my daughters room , let alone I have 2 Dogs and I have 2 lung conditions and absolutely cannot be around smoke , It caused me to have several asthma attacks.
No matter how many noise complaints /safety complaints or courtesy officer calls you put in the office staff don’t take you serious or bother to help at all until you are beyond fed up of dealing with it even at that they won’t do anything other than say they’ll take care of it (And Don’t) !! They decided to recommend us to move somewhere else instead of dealing with a huge marijuana problem scattered among residents knowing one of their office workers admitted they couldn’t show that unit prior to us moving in becuase it reeked of marijuana and didn’t tell us before moving in knowing I had a lung condition .
The property and Dog Play yard are constantly covered in dog poop and is hardly ever cleaned . And Good luck finding parking near your unit you’ll most likely have to park buildings down especially on raining days . There isn’t enough parking becuase residents have their guest parking in resident parking not in visitors like they are supposed to . Would highly recommend people look somewhere...
Read moreDO NOT MOVE HERE !!!!; they seem to be manipulating the reviews on on google by pushing the positive ones to the top. On the Harbor Group Management website, they flaunt five-star ratings, which is misleading since there are way more negative reviews than positive ones. Honestly, this is the worst apartment I've ever rented. My car was stolen right out of the parking lot in broad daylight, and there are homeless people sleeping near the dog park. I reached out to the office for video footage, but they never got back to me. The apartment manager won’t even acknowledge you but will stare you down. They just started promoting customer service, but it feels like they lie about everything. The assistant manager seems clueless, and I suspect she’s only in that role because she’s been around longer than everyone else. The office has a high turnover rate, which indicates some serious internal issues. We gave our notice to vacate earlier than 90 days, and on the same day, we were told we needed to schedule a pre-walk-through within two weeks. Our stuff was still in the apartment, and when it was finally time for the final walk-through, the manager said she couldn’t do it because the assistant manager wasn’t there. I came back the next day, and as soon as we got to the door, they said they would come back later to do it without me, which I’ve never encountered before. She claimed she couldn’t leave the office because the assistant manager wasn’t available. They’re clearly just out to make money, and it’s no surprise that so many people are moving out. Seriously, don’t move here! There are much nicer options in Forney that won’t nickel-and-dime you. This place is not luxury at all; it’s just a regular apartment. The front looks nice, but the back is a mess. Even the place next door is...
