I recently discovered JF African Store in Forney, Texas, and I'm so glad I did! As an African living in the US, it's not always easy to find authentic African products and ingredients. But JF African Store has been a game-changer.
The store is well-organized and clean, with a wide selection of African food, spices, cosmetics, and clothing. The owner is friendly and helpful, always willing to answer questions and make recommendations.
I've purchased several items from the store, including fufu, plantains, and African spices. The prices are reasonable, and the quality of the products is excellent.
What I appreciate most about JF African Store is the sense of community it provides. As an African living abroad, it's not always easy to find people who understand and share my cultural background. But JF African Store feels like a little slice of home.
Overall, I highly recommend JF African Store to anyone looking for authentic African products and a welcoming community.

Read moreThe cashier staff in this store needs to be trained. The guy at the cashier was extremely rude, talking to people like he thinks we are still in Africa. I need to find his name and share with you. No sense of customer services. I came to exchange a product I bought. He asked for the receipt very rudely, which I politely pulled the transaction.
Then he says it’s been more than 2 weeks. Today is the 26th, receipt says 16th, explain to me how this is beyond 2 weeks.
He proceeds to call his boss who says it’s okay to exchange. I try to calmly tell him to be polite and to his clients. This guy ignores me and proceeds to cashing out.
I am not the type to write a review but this staff needs to be trained. He is gonna ruin your business.
Secondly, sanitation here is an issue, you walk in the store and are welcomed by a stench. You have so much potential but need to work...
Read moreI had to throughly wait and rethink before writing my review, being that they are only African store in Forney, and you’d expect them to do or be better. I rather drive all the way to Dallas and go to JTC African market in Skillman, at least they are always stocked up and their food are always fresh, and plus lots of varieties of food to eat. Over here is a joke and very soon, if they are not careful, they might go out of business. The last egusi soup I bought from them was literally full of red oil and barely any meat in it, and had the audacity to be expensive. Bread is never fresh. Meat pie always looking dry....
