I got married in Fort Atkinson last week, and scheduled to have mine and my bridal party's nails done at Crimson so we could be near the venue to decorate.
The good: Everyone at the salon was friendly and attentive. They often asked if anyone needed any water, a chair, etc. It was also very pretty, and really set the 'mood' for the wedding weekend. The coordinator for our services was also incredibly quick to reply to emails from me and very accommodating.
The not-so-good: We had a few minor gripes, like there being long gaps between services since there were only 2 (I think? maybe 3?) people doing nails. It definitely took longer than we were anticipating, but sometimes that's just how it goes. However, our biggest issue is that I was left until last, and because they were running late we needed to get out of their quickly. So, I left with semi-wet nails and couldn't do a great job of decorating our venue since I couldn't really use my hands. During our nail appointment, they lowered the lights to set the mood, which was very nice. But once we got to our well-lit venue, it became clear that most of us had pretty large issues with messy nails. I had to clean mine up that night since my hand would certainly be photographed, and ended up chipping my ring finger nail in the process and having to cut them down. For me, I don't really care about my nails looking perfect, but I think other brides might have had a big issue with the quality of work. Now we're 5 days after the manicure, and every single one of my nails has chipped, which in my experience is abnormal for a salon manicure.
Overall, it was an OK experience. Our nails didn't look perfect, but that's not a big issue to me. It was a little disappointing to pay $70 for nails that I could've done at home, but the experience and friendliness of the staff was nice to start out...
Read moreI have enjoyed going to Crimson for the last three years or so. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, they shined even brighter. I was able to pick up (curbside) a kit to do a root touch-up at home while they were closed to the public. And yesterday, I had my first appointment there since January. I haven't accessed the community much since this pandemic hit the US, but the folks at Crimson let me know what to expect when I came in and what was required of me in order to keep my appointment. They were professional and welcoming as always, but the measures they took to ensure the safety of their staff and customers really set my mind at ease. They significantly limited the number of people allowed in the building, spaced people far apart (I was one of three customers there the entire time and my appointment was like 2 hours), they did a temperature check at the door, lots of hand washing and hand sanitizing, plexiglas barriers were in place, and everyone (staff and customers alike) were wearing masks the entire time. I am very grateful for the team at Crimson who keep us looking great while limiting our risk of exposure. Here's to looking fabulous and staying...
Read moreI can’t say enough good things about the facial my son received—it was beyond our expectations!
The facial itself was gentle yet effective. His skin looked noticeably refreshed, clearer, and more hydrated immediately afterward. He left feeling relaxed and even talked about how great his skin felt after showering after baseball practice.
It’s so refreshing to find a place that not only offers top-quality skincare but also knows how to connect with younger clients in a respectful and age-appropriate way. We’ll...
