Gordon Food Service Store — Local services in Fort Gratiot Charter Township

Here's another amazing review for outstanding service. I drove from Casco to the Ft. Gratiot location. We arrived at 7:02. We walked in to buy Bai Coconut water because the Chesterfield no longer carries it. 😠 So going back to my review. I walked in and the lady said they were closing. I advised her that I was only getting the coconut water. She said that would be just fine. Once I got to the register I asked her why they were closing early. She told me that this store closes at 7 pm. I felt so stupid. But I did tell her that goggle said they were open till 8 pm. I ended up buying 9 cases of the coconut water. They did tell that when I start to get low call them and they can put a order in for me. Funny thing is I asked about that at Chesterfield and they told me no. These people are my kind of people in Ft. Gratiot. They didn't have to let me in that night. They didn't have to offer the call ahead order. But they did. That's great customer service in my book. Treat people like you would like to be treated!...

I sent my daughter into buy some frozen fruit and she came back not long after I sent her in telling me that they would not let her in the store. Apparently they do not let healthy people into their store. It is against their store policy.

I called the manager, Alan, and asked him what was going on. He said it is against their store policy to let people in to their store who are not wearing a mask. I asked him if he understood that Gordon's is legally a place of public accommodation, and that as such they are prohibited from discriminating against people for any reason. I also asked him if he understood that their store policy violates federal anti-discrimination law. He seemed okay with violating federal law, and hung up on me.

Since Gordon Food Service is alright with violating federal anti-discrimination law, it is our recommendation that you NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN. Honestly, we hope that all such businesses will go out...

Website has got to be the absolute worst website ever, I picked an item put it in the cart. It wouldn't let me cash out. The product I was wanted wasn't at the store that I went to, that's because like I said, their website leads you to believe that their products are at every single store, it's a centralized website, and I'm guessing sends the orders to the store after you place your order. The only thing worse than the website where the rude people at the store that looked at me like something was wrong with me when I asked them for the pizza screens, when I informed them that their website led me to believe that they were in stock in this store, they shrugged their shoulders.
