Stopped by to see if they could fix my tennis bracelet. Was not greeted by anyone, but all employees were helping customers so went to the counter and waited. Turns out, what I initially thought was a couple was in fact a male customer with an employee, for lack of a better word, hanging on him. Another employee was behind the case, actively assisting the man. They came down the case they were at, and ended up right by me, and I STILL wasn't greeted, or acknowledged, nor was I aware yet that the guy's "girlfriend" was an employee. After a few minutes, another gentleman came in, and the employee went to greet him. I did a shocked, are you kidding me look, and said forget it and started walking out. It was at this point that I was FINALLY greeted, with an "Oh, I'm sorry, are you being helped?" I replied with No! As I walked out. She made some sort of sound, but I walked out and couldn't hear. I expect to be treated with a modicum of courtsey when entering establishments. After all, I CHOSE to go there. But I can assure you, NONE was afforded to me. As I stated, none of the employees greeted me upon entering. General rule of thumb is you greet everyone who enters, by word or gesture. A simple smile or head nod is sufficient. Ideally a warm Hello. The employees right by the door did none of these (there were 2 others on either side of the store, but I couldn't see well enough to determine if they did or not, but nothing vocal was done). The female employee hanging on the gentleman should not have been. If she was on the clock, even if related or known, she should have remain professional. Had she not been hanging on him, she would have seen me enter, and business could have been done. Her co-worker behind the glass didn't acknowledge me either, and did seem quite grumpy. I have no clue why. But he should have let her know to assist me, but did nothing that I saw. While the employee stood 6 inches from me (while I was still unaware she was an employee), she never thought to greet me? To smile and say Hello? Nope. She was oogling the jewelry being shown to the customer. Perhaps I'm from an old school train of thought. Perhaps customs have changed, but I choose to do business with companies who actually value my business. Or who at least has the decency to greet me when I enter the store. I will look elsewhere for my fine...
Read moreI had to give 5 stars because Alexander jewelry is great. I've had nothing but good experiences buying shinola watches and other misc jewelry between my wife and i... BUT Reactor brand watches, stay away from that company. Years ago, I was looking at a reactor, and it was like 1k dollars or close to, and at the time, we couldn't imagine buying a watch that cost that much. Later on in life, we had our own business, and we were doing great in life making real money. My wife bought me this reactor as a token of how far we had come. She got me the watch to remember the days when we couldn't even imagine owning a watch that cost that much. Fast forward, I've bought Hamiltons, citizens, and Shinola watches, and I haven't had any issues. I've taken care of all my jewelry and watches. Well, one noticed the reactor watch the second hand completely fell off. And I thought that was kind of ridiculous. Had Alexander jewelry reach out to them. They actually charged us to fix the watch. Now I could understand if I cracked the globe or did something to the watch. But I've taken care of it like all my others. And yet had to pay to have their defective product fixed. It wasn't the end of the world . But I could t believe it. I was surprised it completely fell off to begin with, much less the fact they didn't stand by their product... so fair warning. I won't be purchasing any more reactor watches, and I just wanted to reach out and let others know their watches are not well built and they don't stand by their products. I would recommend Shinola they're a great well-built watch made in Detroit and one of my favorites. I will keep the reactor as it was a gift from my amazing wife, but I will never again even look at another reactor... in no way should this review reflect Alexander jewelry I've had nothing but good experiences with them the sales team is on the ball they're a good group of people and I enjoy working with them the management also stands by their word and they're good people to work...
Read moreMy husband bought my wedding set from here and we loved the two older ladies and the man that sold on the floor great people u til my horrible experience a couple days ago, they apparently hired some new blonde lady younger that thinks she knows everything she was beyond rude to me and my husband the following day, all I wanted was a quarentee fulfilled from my husband's purchase from this store and she proceeded to argue with me the one day and my husband the next day, I just would like to say both my husband and myself have made many purchases from this store in the past but due to these circumstances with this new lady we both will no longer be future customers of this store ever again, that lady ruined it for us and their store, I would rather take my money elsewhere. First impressions of the first people you see which was this new lady can make or break you, which this case broke them!! Very unprofessional to argue with a customer and to be rude and...
