I went to get 2 new piercings on each ear (one lobe & one cartilage) last fall. I went as a walk-in on a Saturday and got taken back right away. When Amber pierced my ears, she used a clamp before poking through each hole. As the months began after the initial piercing, I noticed that the holes were not healing correctly amidst me being extra careful and also keeping them clean. They were red, puffy, painful, irritated, itchy, etc. I contacted several people I knew that had a multitude of ear piercings of their own about what I was experiencing. They said that my holes looked irritated and TERRIBLY black and blue bruised on the back. I assumed that that was part of the healing process and that the irritation would eventually subside on its own. But then…it did not. I’ve tried almost every trick in the book to get my piercings to heal. I’ve tried changing out the earrings, several home remedies, you name it. Now, it’s almost been a year since I got them done and they STILL haven’t properly healed. I still have moisture sores almost all the time that take constant attention. I’m not sure what to think of Sarenity because of this happening. I’m disgruntled because the entire procedure cost-wise was not...
Read moreEdited review 4/3/23: I've had two piercings and one tattoo done at Sarenity, the piercings being my septum and lip. Overall it's been a good experience - everyone there is very kind and helpful. However my one negative experience is with my lip piercing. I got it done about a month ago with the hope of switching to a clicker ring eventually. I ordered multiple size rings and took them in to get it switched. I told the piercer that I wanted it as snug as possible, but that I'd go with her professional opinion, as it was still healing and slightly swollen. She told me that the smaller ring would be okay, just to wait for the swelling to go down. Fast forward a week later, I got a second opinion from a different piercer at another shop and she was horrified. Ended up having to completely take it out because my lip was splitting, in pain, and only swelling more. I understand mistakes happen but I'm really bummed to lose my favorite piercing and have wasted that money. Although I've had mostly positive experiences here, I'll be going elsewhere in the future because I'm worried to trust the piercer...
Read moreSo last year I decided to find a talented tattoo artist that specializes in anime and video game related art. After looking for a few weeks I found Juan Benavides at Sarenity Tattoo, about an hour away from me.
I shot him a message on Facebook and he set up a video call through Facebook to chat a bit about what I want. He seemed very likable and loved the tattoo idea so we set up an appointment.
Fast forward: I've been going to see Juan at Sarenity Tatto for about a year now getting sweet tattoos. It is a great time! We laugh and joke the entire time and talk about anime and video games and comics.
It is always a very pleasant and relaxing scene and the dude is very talented and likable. I see myself getting many more tattoos from him. It seems a little pricy at first but you get what you pay for and they have financing options for those who need help to afford quality...
