This has been one of my best experiences shopping for furniture that I have ever had! Let me preface this by saying this was at the Fort Lauderdale location on 3700 Federal Hwy and not at any other location. Reason for my disclosure regarding location is because before that we went to another location in Coconut Creek and unfortunately was not impressed and this had more to do with the sales associateās interaction more than the actual store! Actually the reality is we would have gone with another furniture store company had it not been for these two amazing associates we lucked out on getting. Those two associates are Celine Hernandez and Sophia Herrera ( hope I did not butcher their last nameās spelling) from the inception they greeted us with a warm and welcoming demeanor and I guess Celine realizing we were not or at least we looked liked we hadnāt the slightest idea as to what we wanted or what would work for us immediately recommended that we sit with one of her designers Sophia a service we were not even aware was available to us had it not been for Celineās attention to ensuring her customers get every option available. Celineās enthusiasm for helping customers was immediately evident and she made it clear that her top priority was to ensure we found exactly what we were looking for. Meeting Sophia was a godās send she took us under her wings with the patience and knowledge that was exemplary to put it lightly. Sophia demonstrated an impressive knowledge of the storeās product range and even opened up vendors that were not even available on their site. She patiently listened to our preferences did a 3D rendering of our room so we can actually see what the various selections would look like, she asked thoughtful questions to better understand our vision and her expertise and keen eye for design allowed her to suggest several pieces that perfectly matched our style and needs. She meticulously explained the benefits and features of each item and even offered practical advice on how to arrange the furniture to maximize the space and enhance the roomās overall aesthetics. This made finding the perfect room so much easier and if that was not enough she went above and beyond and even worked with her manager to get us a steal of a deal on some floor sample pieces (now there is customer service!!) Both Celine and Sophia exhibited exceptional professionalism and a positive attitude throughout the entire experience. They were always approachable, patient and willing to go the extra mile to address any concerns or questions we had even after the transactions were completed. My only disappointment was not with Sophia or Celine but I found out that since we initially went to a different location and the associate their took our info their was going to be a split which I could not understand why since if it was not for these two amazing ladies we would have taken our business to one of their competitors so sad but amazingly they did not even say a word about that to me and I found out after the fact. Regardless I believe both Celine and Sophia are an invaluable asset to Havertyās and I would recommend anyone seeking expert guidance and exceptional service in their furniture shopping experience to seek out this dream team. Thank you very much ladies and see you in our next project the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThank you all for all of your help! The communication could have been a little better but the end result was definitely worth it. UPDATE - we had to change/return our first couch and chair because it was so horribly uncomfortable after 20 minutes you were in pain. The reclinerās foot rest was basically a 2x4 with some cloth over it, which is what the above comments refer to the end result. So now our second couch n chair is indeed very comfortable HOWEVER within 1 week one on the armrests on the couch completely sunk in. So the technician had to come out and fix it. The problem was that there are 2 slats of wood along the sides with cardboard (yes cardboard) down the center. So any amount of pressure is going to push the cushioning down between the slats of wood. (We had him put in the extra piece of wood in the other arm because that was just a matter of time) When we originally called and spoke to the customer service agent about the armrest issue she indicated that it must be used a lot!???!!!We only had it a week and yes we do watch tv but we donāt sit there all day and night. We work and have hobbies too. Crazy. We also are not convinced that the couch we got wasnāt the showroom couch since it is ābreaking downā mighty quickly. We have NEVER had problems with any couch or chairs before. Our last one was from Room To Go had it for 10 years still good as nee and the only reason why we got rid of it was because we changed styles. It was a very comfortable and well made couch - especially compared to the stuff we have gotten from Havertys. Sorry to say. I honestly feel like Havertys furniture is just poorly made furniture. No it wasnāt expensive but it wasnāt ācheapā either. Comparing pricing with Rooms To Go our experience is that Rooms To Go has better quality. Iāll be very wary about our next purchase which will probably not be too far in the future...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely disgusted with Haverty's and their lack of "customer service." After much consideration when purchasing a new living room set my husband and I chose to go with Haverty's. For a high end furniture store you expect to get a good quality product and good customer service. That has not been the case for us since we left the store.
We purchased the "Beckett" set and have had nothing but problems from the beginning. When purchasing a product that claims to have "no sag" cushions one would expect to not have this problem. Well, that would be the case if there were not a design flaw in the product. There is a three inch gap in between the pull out sofa and the cushion causing the cushion to completely sink into the couch. We tried to contact customer service with this concern and have been met with nothing but repeated conversations and no help. We have provided photo evidence and even have recorded a video of the design flaw. After speaking several times with a "supervisor" for customer service named Donna, Havertys has decided to send a technician to our home to "install" new cushions for our sofa. After waiting for the phone call from the "technician" over two days we contacted Donna back who informed us that the cushions have been ordered and that it could take up to three weeks before they arrive in which the technician will then schedule an appointment. So, we can wait three weeks to a month to have a technician come and "install" new cushions for a product that has a design flaw which will ultimately lead us back to square one. This seems like a relatively simplistic problem, however Haverty's is refusing to do anything about it.
I would seriously reconsider purchasing anything from Haverty's. This has been the biggest disappointment and waste of our time and money. Customer Service has been a joke and it has been impossible to receive a call back from anyone...
