Where do I begin with this long and incredible journey? I received my hair transplant at Natural Transplants a year ago, so I want to give a thorough review. I experienced hair loss as a little girl from traction alopecia. I had barely nothing around my edges and started to develop a small bald spot up front and center as i got older. I experienced years of bullying and low self-confidence due to my hair loss. Over the years, I have tried everything you could think of to correct this issue. Looking up remedies on YouTube, trying different products for hair growth, and seeking hair specialist (trichologist) and stylist for support. Nothing could help me and I honestly felt hopeless like I had to accept that this is the way my hair will be forever. I thought about my future and all the things I will experience in life with having to be limited with hairstyles. I was also frighten of my hair blowing in the wind.
Thanks to a good friend and a couple youtubers Matayena and Kavinna I was able to take the leap of faith to contact Jerry and Dr. Siegel. This team is so phenomenal that words cannot describe the absolute care and amazing service they provided me. Dr. Siegel and his team Jenny, Scarlett, and Charles made me feel so comfortable and welcomed as soon as I walk through the door. I was so nervous I thought I would back out or need laughing gas to calm down. Dr. Siegel reminded me you will be fine haha. The numbing process was actually pretty tolerable. The rest was smooth from there. Jenny, Scarlett, and Charles took great care of me and made me laugh while watching movies. I loved them so much! Dr. Siegel was very meticulous and thorough with the process. He just made me feel so relaxed. I had the best support of my mom and older cousin. It was overall an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish.
Following the procedure was the healing, the hardest part was the sutures (make sure you know where you will get the remove prior to the procedure) and being patient of course. My hair took off growing in beautifully after that. I genuinely enjoyed watching my hair grow in and so has my loved ones. They are sooooooo happy for me! They still compliment my hair to this day. They were actually more nervous than me. But now all they can do is praise Dr. Siegel and his heaven sent team. I wish I would have known them sooner. If I could experience this process all over again, I would!
All I can say is Natural Transplants has truly blessed me to feel confident, beautiful, and happy again! I can style my hair the way I want more today than I ever could before. I look forward to watching it flourish more in the future. There is not enough words to thank these amazing individuals for changing people's lives. Natural Transplants thank you for all you have done for me and all of the other amazing people you have helped! You all are truly the greatest and now I cannot stop smiling because of you! Thank you Dr. Siegel, Jenny, Scarlett, Charles, Jerry, Casey, Cassandra and everyone there at Natural Transplants! I love you all and please don't stop doing the amazing work that you do! Trust me when I say do not hesitate to seek their support! Please call them yesterday, if not today because it truly is a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreInitially I was skeptical of this procedure because with videos today people can edit it to make things appear differently than what is the actual truth. I was also skeptical about this procedure as I was hoping I would not commit to my hair transplant surgery and be that 1% of people whose body just did not respond to the surgery properly. If there is anything I can suggest, do some literature review and really go through thoroughly what the process is before, during, and after the procedure as some parts of your daily routine will be needed to change momentarily. Dr. Rose and her team though on the day of the procedure were amazing. Dr. Rose and her team were comforting and helped answer any questions or concerns I had without ever making me feel foolish for not knowing something. Regarding pain, I will say the first round of shots essentially to numb the head was painful, but the team works with you and your pace, but pain tolerance will be needed throughout this procedure, however, that pain dies down relatively fast. At least for me I did not feel any part of the surgery and I was awake the whole time. I would also suggest if you do not happen to have many button down shirts to possibly invest in some as you will want to prevent using t-shirts, sweaters, or anything that will rub up against the hair follicles that were just placed as that could impact the results of the surgery. I would say to check and be certain to have or be prescribed pain medications at least on the bare minimum for the first day, but preferably no less than the first three days if possible because the back of your head will be super tender, you will feel a tightness, and the pain can be an experience that is less than ideal. Once you get your sutures removed around week 2 of your recovery post surgery, you will definitely feel a difference and relief, but there will be a feeling of tightness that at least for me lasted about 2-3 months. Be careful brushing and combing your hair, I have had a not so amazing experience of combing my hair and having the bristles snag the areas that the sutures were in and that is not a fun experience. Your showering habits may alter initially , but in due time, you can get back to your routine once the doctor has given you the green light. One part of the surgery I did not feel at ease with is seeing all the implanted hair follicles fall out because it will make you think possibly, will this surgery not work, which ties back into doing your own literature review to understand that that is a normal process of this surgery. At around month 3 for me I was starting to see the fruits of the labor put in by Dr. Rose and her team. As time progresses you will see the progress too. Overall I am very satisfied and happy that I actually committed to this surgery because it has elevated the confidence that was diminishing in my mid-20s. Also what is important is remembering that this surgery is only 1 factor of up keeping your scalp and head. I have learned that in a sense our head is like a field of crops, and we have to think what are we doing to give it nutrients and treating it properly to either help promote hair growth or delay for some the inevitableness...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet me first say that the experience was overall a very good one! David Kurzman and Dr Huebner, and their entire staff are amazing. Shout out to Casey, one of the client care representatives, she was an amazing resource POST procedure. She was available pretty much 24/7 for any questions or concerns I had which made me feel like I was still very much a concern for the team even weeks post procedure. Prior to the procedure, David was excellent at communicating and even Dr. Huebner was easy to speak with (we even spoke via FaceTime).
The team made me feel very comfortable the day of the procedure (Valium is absolutely a must for this!!). The worst part was the numbing injections but they are so good at just knocking it out quickly and it really is minimal in terms of the overall negatives to the process. I had 7500 grafts, which is basically the max you can do - so I really prob experienced the worst one can experience doing this.
Dr. Huebner is really amazing. Heās friendly, warm, and makes you feel very comfortable. Iāve heard all their doctors are similar but he is who I used. I stayed overnight in Ft Lauderdale and then next day went back for a follow up and he was just as patient and friendly and took his time explaining all aspects and what to expect. Really impressed with him overall.
The procedure is the easy part actually. You are basically barely awake. The immediate post procedure part isnāt too bad either. You are numb and really canāt feel anything. Sleeping is a bit uncomfortable but I actually didnāt really have trouble sleeping for the first week. Your nerves are sort of ādeadā and you canāt feel a whole lot. As the feeling comes back, which is VERY slowly, you will be a bit uncomfortable but itās not terrible. After about five hours of sleep, my head would be a bit sore from laying on the pillow. Iād recommend moving a bit while you sleep, if you can. Iām a hard sleeper so I tend not to move. There will be some itching that you canāt scratch and some weird feeling overall, itās kind of annoying. But itās not too bad. Cleaning around the stitches isnāt fun and you have to be really careful to not literally pull out your new hair but if you just follow their instructions, you will do fine. I ended up losing just one graft. Not too bad. But it was because I didnāt follow instructions lol. (Do not PICK at the scabs whatsoever!!)
The bad part is you donāt really know just how effective and successful the procedure is for up to 1 year. Iām at the 2 month mark and I can see a little growth, but itās still way too early.
Overall, I would say the experience was really good, mainly because of the team. They are truly professionals and have perfected the process. I STRONGLY recommend Natural Hair Transplants and would not hesitate to do this again if necessary! That said, I truly hope the actual end results are as good as I believe it will be! I canāt wait to enjoy a full head of hair again! Thanks again David, Dr...
