I wasn't going to bother leaving a review- but the run-around I've received has prompted me to share this experience with others. My husband and I made an appointment to be seen for our annual physicals. Our insurance offers an incentive on our plan if we get our physical once a year and get a form signed by the Doctor. We're both in good health, no issues at all. We were both seen at the same time, we told the Doctor we had no concerns, just getting a routine annual done. He then tells us they no longer do lab work at that location, we must make a separate appointment at the Diagnostic center to get our blood drawn. Somewhat annoying (they could have told us that when we made the appointment) and time consuming, but we sucked it up. When our lab results were ready, they told us we had to be seen by the Doctor again, in order to get the results and get our forms signed. I waited for an hour just to get my lab results (not to mention when the lady finally called me from the waiting room, she said "Ok, you- come on"). Our lab results both came back normal, no health concerns at all. Great- at this point, I'm thinking this is over with. A week later, I get my EOB from my insurance. This office entered incorrect codes for not just mine, but my husbands visit as well. Instead of coding it as a ROUTINE annual procedure, they coded it as chronic fatigue and type 2 diabetes (which the lab results prove I clearly do NOT have). But coding it this way ends up charging me, since it's not submitted as a routine visit. The lab ended up just charging my card $35 without verifying with me first. They told me they have to re-process the claims and once that's done, they can refund me. I have made countless phone calls to the billing department, the office, etc. I never get calls back, they don't answer the phones and when they do- they don't seem to care one bit. Here's the biggest issue I have: Incorrect codes are submitted sometimes, human error does happen, I can understand that. But they submitted the wrong codes for both me AND my husband, who have two different patient files and two different health insurance policies. That doesn't seem like a coincidence to me and it raises some red flags (I noticed another review that mentioned fraud and after my experience, I'm questioning that as well). If they submitted incorrect codes for us, how many others is that happening to that are unaware? A routine physical is 100% covered by my insurance. It should have been a simple, in and out visit with no charge to me. Instead, they're trying to charge me over $50 (they charged me for each visit- initial consult, lab blood work, and the visit when I picked up my results), I'm having to make all kinds of phone calls, chase them down and try to fix this. If I hadn't said anything, or paid attention- they would get away with this, I'd be paying them $50 that I shouldn't owe and I would be none the wiser. I still have no answers or resolution. I will be sure to update my review when & if this gets resolved.
Updated to respond to the Dr.'s response below: My name is Laura, not Lana. The record is under Malkin and I have called your office SEVERAL times, asking to speak to someone in charge. No one calls back, everyone says they will "look into it" with an attitude and I get no answers. My insurance provider has been calling as well, but getting no replies. I will submit an e-mail to the address you provided, in yet another attempt to get...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI made an appointment to be seen a few weeks ago, i get to the appointment and get in the back the gentleman taking my weight and checking my pressure was asking me the cause for the visit. I explained to him what was going on, just for detail i explained it was for recent hospital visits and my weight. He immediately recommended wegovy and said the dr will go over it with me. The dr comes in checks my heart sits down and when i explained to him i wanted to be checked over to see if itās something hormonal causing me to hold weight, he said āi highly doubt it something like thatā and immediately went into the same speech about wegovy. I donāt like taking medication as it is nonetheless, one for a disease i donāt even have just because itās good for weight loss. Then tells me my visit wasnāt made for a physical. Which is what i asked for! Iām sent to do blood work i get a text on their texting app and itās the dr saying i attached your blood results, and then says he recommends a Mediterranean diet and if Iām overweight to look into their weight loss program. Didnāt go over results or nothing. I call the office to be told that i would have to make an appointment and since they donāt take insurance i would have to pay $150. To top it off they didnāt even tell in office when i went they wonāt be taking insurance anymore i had to find out on the app! So now i have blood results i canāt read and in need of...
