As you can see from the pictures there are a number of handicap parking spaces which is absolutely fabulous. I'm so happy to see this. So automatically that gets a star. As for the regular parking there's a lot of parking space for everyone else so there's no need for anyone to take a space that belongs to handicap. As like the other cracker barrels there are all types of items that can be purchased in the store once you enter as well as rocking chairs that are usually outside on the porch. Some of the famous candies that I'm familiar with from way back in the days were on the shelf. The dining area was clean the floors were swept and kept presentable. As always the wooden chairs and tables were nice and polished. Although this is my first time at this particular cracker barrel I will say that it is not as cold temperature d as some of the cracker barrels I've been in. But let's talk about the food so of course as usual my coffee comes first and it's always HOT. My waiter Blake brought me out pancakes was halfway done. I could tell by the color and the texture of the pancake. So I returned it back to the kitchen for another set of pancakes that were done. Blake didn't seem to have an issue and making sure I had pancakes the way I liked them. Which I thank him for. However, I asked Blake for a spoon so I could stir my coffee Blake the waiter brings me this spoon and puts it on the bare table ,not on a napkin on the table but on the table. I'm not cool with that not at all regardless if the tables were nice and polished it does not mean it was sanitized before I sat down. There is a certain type of etiquette I expect waiters to know and acknowledge and follow. I don't like waiting long for my food but because this is cracker barrel and I know they are usually preparing the meal nice and hot for me I don't mind waiting on them. I have never experienced my food coming out of the kitchen ice cold before so I shall wait. The portion of food is as expected was hot and delicious. The problem I had here was with the bottles of syrup. I addressed this matter to a very kind and understanding,mature and helpful staff member by the name of Lisa. As you see the bottles to the syrup comes with a safety brake seal. These bottles should not be easy to open without breaking a seal. If they open very easily then how is it safe to consume the contents inside? Is it possible it can be tampered with if the seal is not present but of course. However on two bottles there was no seal and the cap came off easily and went back on easily which gave the appearance it was not tampered with had it been given to someone else at another table. This should not be I suggest strongly a manager looks into this and contacts the company that manufactures these and make sure that each of the bottles come with the Tamper proof seal. Miss Lisa was so kind as she went back towards the kitchen where she discovered two other bottles that did not have this seal. I informed her that she was being very helpful and that I was not interested in taking either of the bottles because it did not have a tamper proof seal. She went back and opened up a brand new box she said of syrups where she found a bottle with the Tamper proof seal intact. No one was there to greet us and when the host came, he did not say hello or try to find out who came in first and took a man in front of me without asking who is next, the man pushed in front of me even after he seen me come in before him. There was literally fifteen people crowding the host desk and there was no order and the young man that was the host made no effort at all to ask the simple question “can i help who is next” - he never said one word, he never even said hello. Customer service is poor, it used to be good in this location but its gotten worse the last three times I have been here and half the doors in the woman’s bathroom don’t have locks on them and are filthy and smell terrible. The bathrooms have been like this for years, I never said anything because I liked coming here but after the poor experience I had today, it is worth mentioning that they don’t clean their bathrooms. The host was a young man that I have never seen before, you should probably train people to say “hello, can help whos next in line?” - The young man did not even say hello to any of the customers, There should not be fifteen people crowded around the check in area because obviously your staff does not want to make an effort to be fair and ask who is next in line and is obviously easily confused because there are so many people crowded there. This was terrible and it used to be a great place, the customer service is deplorable and I would recommend skipping on this, you will get better service at burger king and even their service leaves much to be desired. Very sad because this used to be my favorite restaurant and now its just another restaurant with average food and rude staff.
Also I am posting this review right after it happened, so easily they can identify who the host was. But it is doubtful the company will care, the way they take care of and run the restaurant including allowing customers to crowd the checkin desk and not keeping clean bathrooms shows that they do not care and also not training their employees to say hello and can i help who’s next in line and he seen the male customer that aggressively walked in front of me and ignored me. Read moreLet me say first, I go to this particular Cracker Barrel often. This Tuesday I was appalled with how it went!! It started off there were about five servers all standing around doing nothing. It took about 10 minutes till we were finally approached by a server. We gave our drink order which then took about another 8 to 10 minutes before we got that, while everybody stood around doing nothing When the food was served, I ordered the chicken and dumplings which I ordered every single time I go and my husband got the meatloaf dinner which he gets whenever he goes, comes out looks like something I wouldn’t even serve my dogs!!! The chicken and dumplings look like soup. The meatloaf was burnt the mashed potatoes were liquefied and my sweet potato was a hard rock undercooked piece of garbage!!! When I got the waiter, which finally came out of hiding after about 15 minutes or more, he looked at me with bewilderment and finally picked it up and took it back and his words were as the manager said “he never seen anything like that in his career”. Well if you’ve never seen that before, why was it even served to me, I’d like to know!!! In any case all I ate was a biscuit which again took forever to get and ice cold now!!! Granted the chicken and dumplings were taken off the bill, but we were still charged for two iced tea and my husband’s burnt meatloaf and liquefied mashed potatoes!!!
