I have owned boats for over 40 years and now have a 1999 40’ Pilothouse Trawler. We take it to the Bahamas every year, so I have been wanting to upgrade our electronics. I asked around and Darrell with Stingray Marine Electronics came highly recommended.

He came to our boat, listened to our wants and made several informative suggestions on how to improve on our “wish list”. He then supplied us with a detailed quote. We picked a date for him to start and he showed up as promised. During the upgrade, he discovered ways to improve on several of our 20 year old systems and gave us cost options on how to proceed.

His team did an outstanding job, left the boat clean and Darrell was willing to spend extra time training us on our new systems.

We asked Stingray to replace our aging chart plotter - it became a lesson in never-scrape-the-paint-on-an-old-house and Stingray was fabulous about it.

They readily acknowledged that they had missed how much of the system needed to be replaced and were very lenient in their billing for their time and materials used to debug the networking and transducer problems.

Stingray has a full time office administrator (ie its not a some-guy-with-a-truck operation) who was key to getting parts on time and communicating with the field team because we were off the boat while most of the work was going on.

The end result is super slick and ready for the next decade...

When a poor connection (the connection was not their original work) on an AIS was missed during inspection by Stingray the team at Stingray got out right away to fix the issue at no charge. The owner, Darryl, was easy to talk to about my concerns, nobody tried to upsell me on electronics I wasn't ready to buy or was in dire need of.
