The Funky Cuda Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Fort Pierce

Well well well…I had intended on visiting the Tipsy Tiki but not being from here and Uber drops me off I walked into this establishment and quickly realized I was at home. (Secret…the Tipsy Tiki is owned by the same people as I found out)

So the Funky Cuda…I’m gonna say that usually as an outsider (not local) you can feel a little weird or bottled up..but at a place like this who’s goal is for hair to be let down and time to stand still this place is a gem. I was there from just before 1pm until just after 5pm and I was not planning on being there that long but they had daily Live Music from 1-5pm so if you know me you know I love live music. Anywho I ended up ordering a BLT with fries to eat and UNFORTUNATELY I did the unimaginable and didn’t get a picture but let me just say honestly the BLT wasn’t the best ever but what it lacked in the fries bumped up a notch and then the atmosphere went to an easy 8 outta 10 but ima keep it real I will definitely be revisiting this his place because what they do is offer a getaway and they do it well!

Stopped in to Funky Cuda for a quick bite right when they opened. Sat at the bar and Sarah gave us fantastic recommendations on the menu! We love the vibe here— all outdoor seating only with a stage for live music. The weather was perfect, and the playlist was upbeat but not too loud. We ordered the wings as an appetizer and they came out crispy, meaty and juicy! They have a great sauce selection. Then we split the cuda smash burger which was delightful. The layers of different flavors and textures makes the burger special. We also had the Mac and cheese and cucumber salad which we would also order again next time. First time visiting the Funky Cuda after Changing owners from crocadillos. Vibe and atmosphere are still the same, super chill. Kelly was my server tonight. Nice girl and honest about recommendations on the menu. Order yourself a cup or bowl of crab bisque. Wow. Very tasty and delicious. Ordered the “all of the cheeses” Grilled cheese and added crab meat for $5 extra the bread can make or break this sandwich and it made it. Toasted the way it should be. Lots of specials there.
