The service at Home Depot was absolutely dismal. We had to get 20 blocks but only 15 of them were at ground level. We asked an employee if he could bring the pallet down from above so we could get 5 more blocks. He said he'd get someone to bring a forklift to help us, then he walked away and 5 minutes later he took his apron off and walked out the door. So we found another employee who said he'd get us some help, we listened while he paged someone to help but go no response from anyone. We went to customer service and asked for help, then 5 minutes later two employees helped us, even though we had waited over 30 minutes for help. Totally unprofessional and very poor customer service. Then when we tried to checkout at the contractor registers with three big carts full of lumber, paint, and blocks was another fiasco. Apparently one employee couldn't do her job and had her lane backed up with customers, so the other employee in the other lane decided to help her and that caused his line to become backed up. We were very tempted to just leave everything because it was another 20 minutes before the line started moving again. This store has always been good, but here lately it has been terrible. The paint department is awesome but the other departments have really fell off anymore and those employees just don't seem to care anymore. In fact the employee that checked us out never even counted the lumber we had on our carts and took our word on everything, good thing we are honest people. I think we may start going to Lowe's in Van Buren because the Ft. Smith Lowe's is just as bad in customer service. We were very disappointed especially after spending nearly $1500 and getting such poor service.

We bought a small refrigerator on o 7/26/23 it was a small apartment size Magic chief and the only one they had in the store, and packed in a box, we took is straight home 45 minutes away unloaded and unboxed the refrigerator it had a large dent in the corner of the door and on the right side of refrigerator. We called the store it took 5 back to back call to get someone at the store to answer the phone and then after getting transferred to a store manger we where told you can just bring it back for a refund, and they would give us like 20.00 dollars off our next purchase. I tried to explain to the manger that it would not even cover our fuel to bring the refrigerator back and we would gladly send pictures of the damage a copy of the receipt and that it had only been a hour since the item was purchased from the store and the manger said just bring it back don’t know what to tell you. I understand that they are busy but this was a large purchase for our family costing over $400.00 and would have appreciated better customer service for the damaged item we bought without knowledge of its damage and the ability to get thought to the store without mutable phone calls. Home Depot needs to have improvement in there customer service and management to help there customer after a purchase, our family will definitely look else where before purchasing from this store in the future.

Update 2/18/23 - okay, seeing how this is my closest HD, I knew I needed to go back. I ordered a Husky 52" and it was being shipped to this store. There was some weirdness going on with the tracking but it arrived the original day, 2/17. I did have to call in to find this out as it wasn't checked in and therefore I was not sent a notification. But, the staff was helpful in locating the bench. Especially, Ricky! I mentioned how he was the one that saved my trip over a week ago in my old review and today he recognized me and took care of me and my order. He is friendly and is an outstanding employee for Home Depot! He goes above and beyond to not only get the job done, but to make sure the customer walks away happy. Thanks Ricky!!!! The bench/tool box looks great by the way! First experience- Worse Home Depot I've been to. I'm new here to Arkansas and drove nearly 2hrs to get here. I wanted to purchase a chainsaw. I waited 25 minutes for an employee to come unlock the tool. This was approx 1930 and definitely not busy. However, I will say that the employee at the returns counter, Ricky, was professional and very helpful!! He saved my trip and he deserves a raise!!!

I purchased over 5k worth of Shingles. I went to the pro-desk, I told the professional how many square feet I need to cover. He didn’t realized that it was going to take 4 bundles per square, instead of the standard 3 bundles per square. Long story short I was short about 10 squares of shingles. I called the store talked to BRIDGET in management, she said that I was going to have to order the rest of the shingles and it was going to be two weeks. I explained what happened and I told her that I should get the shingles free of charge since it was their fault. Bridget said the best she could do is reduce each bundle 50% of what I paid for them. I agreed since I really needed them, so she gave me a delivery day. I put some jobs aside because I have to finish this particular job. I called to verify the delivery since I never heard nothing back, and I come to find out that it was going to take 2 extra weeks. Then I talked to MIKE on the management department, tell him the whole story and tells me that I have to pre-pay the shingles to order them. I told him that they’re a joke, this job cost me more money out of my pocket for a simple mistake from HomeDepot. I feel like I shouldn’t have to pay for their mistake when they have a professional roofing guy at the pro-desk.

FYI. Just go with Lowe’s at least they know how to order the right amount of their products. Plus, if they ever mess up, they will...
