Burke's Orient Express — Local services in Fort Walton Beach

They have staple ingredients that are difficult to find elsewhere! My wife is Thai, so anytime I come to the area for work I have to come to this store to stock up on rarer items that even some larger Asian markets might not carry.

I especially appreciate their mindful approach to sourcing a select quantity of high-quality fresh goods (i.e., no random wilted stuff way past its date) and higher-quality shelf/frozen goods - brands that are relatively unknown in the US but instantly recognizable to people from southeast Asia.

It's definitely worth a trip if you're in the area, if only to grab some snack foods and...

Family owed and great environment. I make this a regular stop almost every Thursday and I've become a familiar face that I chat with the owners as much as I shop there. They have one of the best inventories for Asian groceries and if no they are willing to order for you if available. Thursday's are their day they get all their fresh produce. They also have a selection of pans, cutting boards and Asian dish-ware. Prices are comparable to all the other local store. Most of their prices I find lower than the rest but never higher. My family has shopped here for years, although I had not been in for several months before today. I'll commend them for encouraging customers to wear masks, especially important, given how small, cramped, and densely stocked this store is. Unfortunately, the staff could not be bothered to extend that same courtesy to the customers. I don't think I'll be back..... at least not...
