First off I want to say I was so excited to go dress shopping , I’ll be getting married in a year so I have some time.I knew I needed to find a dress but I was so nervous, I knew it was gonna be a hard process especially with my personality and my low self-esteem. I just knew I wasn’t going to ever find a dress that was gonna be right and I was going to have to settle. So I made an appointment at One fine Day and when I came in I was greeted by two very warm and welcoming women, the lady that was helping me her name was Emily a sweetheart she was beautiful her outfit was gorgeous she was just absolutely a doll. I’ll be honest I was still nervous my guard was a little up I wasn’t sure how this is gonna work it was all a new process to me. But Emily started off with small conversations about the wedding what I wanted asking me about my ring asking me about my fiancé just engaging into great conversation. Even with this new way of meeting people she made me feel comfortable even though this is my first experience looking for a dress my first time going to be trying on wedding dress . But you couldn’t walk around and go through the dresses and touch them and get a feel so I really thought then I wasn’t gonna be able to really find what I like. Emily listen though she listen to everything I wanted she grabbed every dress that was what I wanted when I came in , it was all lace they were all gorgeous dresses and I loved how she respected me and did not pressure me or anything. I tried on some gorgeous dresses I like them I love them but it did nothing for me but I was open minded . So Emily brought me this dress , it was nothing like the dresses that I picked out I was dead set that I was gonna wear a lace dress . Emily brought in this beautiful simple classic elegant dress , I stepped in it pulled it up and magic happened. I can’t believe it it was so unexpected I really thought it wasn’t gonna happen for me but Emily truly listen to me Emily took her time with me and I just want to give the biggest thanks to Emily because for the first time in my life I am 37 years old and I actually looked in the mirror and for the first time I felt beautiful. I cannot wait for my wedding day to come, Emily help me say yes to the most beautiful dress . I do not even think I can express my true feelings into this review about my experience here at One Fine Day! It was one of the best days for me! I had a baby about 15 months ago and haven't been the most confident about myself since then. I just struggle like many women post birth. I was very nervous going into this appointment because even though I am working hard to reach my goals, I am not where I want to be just yet. I was worried I would hate all the dresses because of how I looked. Which looking back is so sad. BUT trying on these dresses brought my confidence back. It brought ME back. I was between two dresses, both I cried in happiness over them. I knew which one was it early on but that second dress I felt so AMAZING in. Freaking Beyonce vibes! All of my curves and everything about me was amazing and beautiful. I finally saw me and my self love that day so much so I cried because I have been looking for that self love for over a year. I didn't try on those dresses and say "well I will look better once I lose the weight" NOPE I look damn good without losing any of this weight! My consultant, Lexi, was beyond AMAZING. She asked all the right questions and was so great! The shop itself had the best vibes and experience! No pressure, no anxiety. I tried on about 5-6 dresses and loved myself in all of them. I was glowing and still have not stopped. My sister recommended I look into OFD for my wedding dress as it was close to my hometown and had both straight as well as curved dresses that fit my style. I started following them on Instagram, fell in love with the store immediately, and knew I had make an appointment. I was paired with Emily (match made in heaven) who made me feel like I was her only bride of the day. Even behind her mask, you could tell she was smiling throughout the fitting. She looked at my Pinterest prior to my appointment to get an idea of style preferences then talked with me upon my arrival about what I was envisioning. She was so personable and made sure that my guests and I could talk about the dresses without outside input. She then would step in when needed to enhance with accessories, clip to show different fits, and make note of the likes and dislikes of each selection. She asked if she could pull a couple pieces for me that might not be what I thought I wanted, but fell in line with what I liked. She pulled several dresses that looked better on me than I imagined and then she pulled the winner! Perfect fit, style, and she was extremely mindful of my budget. I walked out of the dressing room feeling like a princess and my mom and sister knew “this was the one” right when I stepped out.
