Meh... at best and the rating does not include a deduction for the heat. I suppose this is what a festival is supposed to be.... paid parking, paid entry, paid activities, paid eating. I get that but this just seemed very cheaply done. There werent many activities and the food was soso. Roasted corn on the cob was decent (be sure to add your toppings). Bought lemonade and strawberry lemonade from corn vendor and kettle corn vendor.... save the money and calories. Go buy a jug of Milo's. Tacos were ok. The best part of the festival is the kids built in play area that is free sny other time of the year- ijs. Ticket and parking prices listed on website. Food ranged from $5 - $15 non alcoholic beverages $5 - $6.kid activities cost tickets prices ranging fom 3 tickets and up (value =$1/ticket) Only petting zoo included 1 adult entry with child. The rest are paid adult entry. Enjoy the festival.

Attended Sunday early evening. Not going back since it's now in Trinity Park. I had to park over a mile(walked thru grass and a railroad track) towards the entrance. ZERO SIGNAGE at the turn into Trinity park and the ONLY indication I needed to turn and was actually at Mayfest? Google maps. I understand why it's no longer downtown but now they apparently had a need to FILL the land area! They've added cheap midway rides and cheap food vendor booths. I was so discouraged and wanted some fun! But yes. As I walked closer to the main entrance, someone showed me where the $20 parking was of which I turned down when I BOUGHT an entrance ticket. I saw cars parked along the embankment outside the park and they were WALKING up and over the grassy area! So all around not a good time. Cheap and not enough frills for me to return. The city is racking up on cash though. Not surprised.

Mayfest was such a blast. I just wish I brought something that could have held more goodies. The vendors had such unique, well made pieces. Plan to spend a lot of time there but pace yourself. I brought a picnic blanket and it was nice to sit out and eat the delicious food. They had a built-in playground. The petting zoo was the best one that I’ve been to in all of food worth. All the staff were kind and thoughtful throughout the entire experience. We parked at the Will Rogers Parking lot. Took the shuttle there and walked back. I recommend just walking next time bc the shuttle was super full and honestly the weather is so nice so it helps one enjoy that part more. I recommend the Gyro’s and anything that has fresh squeezed lemonade.

I went today with a friend and her young kids. 12 dollars a ticket for an adult, 7 dollars for each child, 20 bucks just to park. Then, we get inside. 12 bucks for each sand art activity, and ridiculous prices for other activities. Funnel cake 12 bucks, and lemonade is 8 dollars. Unlimited ride pass is 30 bucks per person. These prices are crazy. Families cannot afford this, and the kids were disappointed they couldn’t do more activities because of cost. There were lots of vendors to walk through, but otherwise trying to do things was so costly. When I went as a kid, the entry fee paid for all the activities. Now is pay for every single thing. This is crazy, and I was so disappointed. People are hurting financially nowadays. Families cannot afford the activities. I’m...
