A great coffee shop with unique flavors for teas and coffees. Took off a star because there is no option reusable mugs/containers.

Atmosphere: 🌚 dark and relaxed, “speak easy” vibes

Parking: ✅ lots of free parking options in the back behind the shop. Can be tricky to find.

Price transparency: ✅ Prices clearly displayed on large menu

Music: 🎵pop music with lyrics playing in the background. Quiet enough to easily talk over without shouting

Outlets: ✅ multiple, but some not working at the back of the shop

Internet: ✅Available with password at front of shop, no limit on time connected.

Temperature: 🥶 very cold for my tastes (I prefer mid-upper 70s) I was cold in shorts when I visited in July even though it was over 100 F outside

Tea drinks: 🌟one of the best in Fort Worth for options for unique tea drinks. Their lemonchailo is especially good.

Reusable containers: ❌ no option for reusable containers, even if you’re dining in. Would love to see this change!

Seating: ✅ a good amount of options both inside and outside. Have been multiple times and always able to find a seat. Limited number of tables for laptop space, and many tables are small.

Other: also serves as a bar in PM hours. Seasonal drinks available. Croissants and other baked...

This place is so cute. Cafe in the front, bar in the back, photozones in almost every angle

They have a lot of interesting latte options which makes you want to come back to try them all. The hazelnut turmeric latte was good. It definitely had the golden haze of a turmeric beverage. Ive only had golden milk as a turmeric drink so referenced to that i didnt really taste the turmeric..or hazelnut. The drink still tasted satisfying and different from other lattes ive had around town.

The mango smoothie was the unassuming star. It tastes like they blended up an entire frozen mango and nothing else. It was fresh tasting and not too sweet while still being a smoothie. The peach one was sold out at the time so that may be good too.

The croissant: so buttery, so good. The turkey: really good. Overall it consisted of simple but great ingredients which made a naturally satisfying sandwich sort of like the simple baguette sandwiches sold at mom and pop bakeries in paris.

The restrooms are cute. They would be even cooler if the locks would work easier. Seating in the front is scarce but the back bar area is available during the day for extra seating. There is an unpaved parking lot behind the building...

Let me tell you what makes this place great. #1 Consistency. I usually order sweet espresso drinks, and my biggest problem at other coffee places is that they taste very different depending on who makes it. Ampersand is amazingly consistent. The drinks taste the same no matter who makes it. #2 Quality. I love the espresso here. It is so smooth. #3 Fun menu. I love places that offer a selection of syrup flavors and fun drinks. They have some great permanent menu items as well as interesting seasonal drinks. #4 GREAT staff. The baristas here are so friendly. They get to know the regulars and are eager to help newcomers find their perfect drink.

Drink recommendations: RFME (iced hazelnut breve latte, I always recommend this for first-timers), Vietnamese iced coffee (my favorite, very sweet and very strong, made with condensed milk) rose or honey latte + extra shot (just a great latte, it is just a touch too milky for my taste without the extra shot, and the rose syrup gives it a super...

Finally made it to the West 7th area location. I was shocked at how small the coffee area is and wish it were much larger. The area felt very crammed and when a line formed there was little space. Even the employees seemed a bit tight. The back room is very dark and includes a large bar. In the evening it turns into a club and it most definitely shows. The tables and chairs are extremely worn as a result and I personally would not want to return to that. College students may like this atmosphere but it is not for me. As for the coffee I chose the snickerdoodle latte. The first few sips were delicious but the sweeetness soon took over and it was overly sweet and I could only drink half. My husband had a honey latte with half sweetness and it was overLy sweet for him. They use Nature nates honey which is good, however, I it would be nice to see a loccal honey being used. They have a ssecond location that seems to be focused as a coffee shop and not a night club which may be more enjoyable.

Ampersand Cafe is such a cool and unique spot in Fort Worth! Their coffee is fantastic—I got the salted caramel mocha, and it was so smooth and perfectly balanced, not overly sweet at all. The Vietnamese iced coffee is another great option if you’re into something bold and rich. One of the coolest things about this place is how versatile it is. They’ve got a really active running club, which is such a fun vibe during the day. Then, on Friday and Saturday nights, the cafe turns into a nightclub! It’s such an unexpected twist and makes the space feel so dynamic. Whether you’re stopping by for coffee or looking for a fun night out, Ampersand is definitely worth checking out!
