My husband and I hired Rock Springs to be our beverage caterer for our wedding and initially we were excited to work with them as we love the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens. We figured that since they cater a lot of events within the gardens, the experience would be top notch but we were so wrong.
Let me start by saying that the communication with Connor, is in charge of catering, was awful. Calls would be ignored and never returned and emails wouldn’t be answered for weeks. Not only that but there was never a contract, or better yet, ther the as a contract but “they didn’t use them” and instead an invoice was mainly used, which in my opinion is rather sketchy. As a business owner, I understand the importance of both communication and contracts and they seemed to care less. It was clear they didn’t pay attention during our communication as well, as just a couple days prior to our wedding, they were asking questions which had already been answered and agreed to.
On the day of our wedding, we had a detailed timeline which was sent to all of our vendors which clearly stated setup was at 2pm. Connor’s team began setup at 1pm which was great but I had several guests inform me that they were still setting up by 4pm when they arrived. Apparently they did not have water out and were still setting out things for the mocktails. Overall I was not impressed especially considering the amount we paid for these services.
Edit** After some thought and thinking things through I think it’s important that I add this little note. After posting my initial review, Connor called me and was rather confrontational. Rather than handling this situation like a concerned business owner, she tried to gaslight me about our experience and essentially call me a liar. I was honestly shocked with how she conducted our phone call because as a business owner I would have asked more details about our experience and how to do better. My husband and I love the botanical gardens and we’ve enjoyed dining at the rock springs cafe but honestly, after experiencing what we did with their beverage catering, I would not...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of attending my sister-in-law's wedding, which was expertly catered by Shay at Rock Springs Cafe and Catering. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Shay and her team had thought of every detail to ensure a memorable experience for everyone. The food was absolutely exceptional—each dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. It was evident that a lot of care and passion went into the meal preparation.
After such a wonderful experience at the wedding, I knew I had to take my children to the Rock Springs Cafe to sample more of Shay's offerings. We visited the gardens where the cafe is located, and it was the perfect setting for a family lunch. Shay herself greeted us with a warm smile and made us feel right at home. Her engaging personality and genuine love for what she does truly shone through. The kids loved their meals, and I was thrilled to find options that catered to their tastes while still being deliciously satisfying.
After experiencing both the wedding and our family lunch, I can confidently say that I will be choosing Shay and her team to cater my own wedding. Her commitment to quality, along with her charming approach to hospitality, has won me...
Read moreWe attended the Mad Hatter Tea event at Botanic Gardens. This event was for 3 courses and ticket price was $45 per person. Tablecloths were not weighted down, and were blowing on top of the table and in our faces. I weighted the tablecloth down with my purse on one side and my daughter used her foot on the other side. There were no napkins given to us and several others. The first “course” was on the table when we arrived and consisted of pre-bought bland cookies on a little plate. This is not considered a course and was misleading. Three different teas were brought to our table. This was a 2 hour event. The 2nd and 3rd teas were brought to us at the very last minute. The tea was not steeped and was barely warm. The catering was disorganized and would...
