This morning we headed into Cowtown to help our youngest daughter on a new little business adventure. When I was a kid growing up, going to Fort Worth was always exciting since we lived at Garner, Tx on 10 miles of bad road.
Even now when we drive in it bring back lots of great memories. We always let Jacey pick a special pace to go and eat lunch and today she picked “The Meat Board”. She said dad, “you’re a cow man, I believe you’ll will like it”.
Todays choice could not have been better. Jacey had the brisket tacos, Cheryl had the brisket melt and I had the custom burger with a little “6666” chile and a fresh jalapeño. This place is a 15 on a 10 scale. They offer fresh meats (especially steaks) along with a selection of vegetables and seafood choices. I had a chance to meet and visit with one of the owners, Sam Bebee, and that added to the enjoyment of the lunch.
I very seldom ever write a review but I liked this place so much I just had to pass it along. Great job and a idea gentlemen. Great food, great location and great service. We WILL be back! Mr. And Mrs...
Read morePassed by and thouhgt this was a meat market . I saw a lunch menu outfront and went on in. I ordered a steak sandwich with blue cheese crumbles. I think it is #1 on the menu. It was delicious. Steak so tender it melts in your mouth. I normally would never pay $15.00 for a sandwich, but this was a quality steak, cooked perfect and they were not stingy with the steak. Very , very good . Chips were good too. We also had a little pecan pie to die for. Great selection of really good looking steaks, meats, poultry , fish etc at the butcher counter. Good place, good friendly staff , and the owner cared enough to be walking around making sure every one was taken care . Kuddos for that, since you go to so many places where it is obvious by the service, the owner is never there and assumes his customers are happy until it is too late. Yep , good place . I will be back to try some other sandwiches, and maybe pick up some steaks to do for special occassion some time. Hope this place does well, they seem to be...
Read moreYa’ll have to stop here for lunch. I ordered the tenderloin quesadilla and was not disappointed. The meat was flavorful and so tender it almost melted in your mouth. They also are not shy about the amount of meat they put between that melted cheese and toasted tortilla. The homemade potato chips are good but the fries were better. They also have delicious complementary tea and lemonade. I cannot wait to go back to this place and taste everything else on the lunch menu. I didn’t get a picture of what I ate because I was too hungry lol.
The best part about this place though it’s in a butcher shop and it’s all Texas local beef and lamb. We took home a rack of lamb and I am so excited to smoke that...
