The bad:

Steak was ordered med-rare and was well done and dry (driver waited 10 minutes for the food and took them 8 mins to get here - had plenty of delivery steaks, this was an oversight). The asparagus I paid extra for were in a pool of melted butter along from the dry steak.

The green beans with potatoes and onions were separate. They called them kicken or killer green beans.. something like that. Most were good but some had so much rock salt on them they made my face wince.

Red beans and rice were super watery and bland.

I grew up in a suburb of New Orleans and it’s very common for bars to have free red beans and rice on Monday’s. As such, bar red beans can be pretty crappy but they’re free so it’s whatever… these were worse than bar (free) red beans.

The good:

Crab cakes were good. Although, with so much exceptional crab available along the Gulf not sure why you’d use Maryland crab but maybe I missed an origin story or something? If you all are from the NE I guess it makes sense. If not, nah.

Hush puppies were also very good.

Overall I paid over $70 to have this delivered to me. Ordering directly from the site (and not tipping) would have been around $55 - with tip you figure north of $60

Fortunately to an extent, the app I used to order from here refunded us SOME money for some of the above.. but honestly, had we been there in person, we wouldn’t have paid for some of these items… the steak especially… which was the big ticket item.

Sad to say that overall I don’t believe I’d ever come back here and I wouldn’t recommend anyone spend their money on anything that we had issues...

JUST GO!!!! Trust me you won’t regret it!

Today, my son and I decided we would try this place as they had a specialized lunch menu that looked good .

Boy, I am happy I went !! The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the salad and gumbo combo and my son ended up ordering a cheeseburger and french fries.

When I first tasted the gumbo I truly couldn’t believe it. It was the best gumbo I’ve ever had. The salad was fresh crispy. Just delicious.

Even my son’s hamburger he loved it. I had one of his french fries and I can tell you they were great too.

On top of that, Daniel was our server super nice guy and provided great customer service with an excellent attitude. He was fast and had a smile on his face the entire time.

The best part was, we were joking around a bit about some things, and he just added some extra humor to it, and it just made our visit even more memorable .

What I can tell you is there’s a lot of restaurants out there most especially there’s a lot of restaurants out there that claimed to have good lunch specials. I can tell you. It’s been a long time since I thought I actually got a good deal with getting delicious food today. It happened. ….. I will definitely be back very soon but this time I’m bringing lots of friends and coworkers.

Thanks again for the great lunch excellent service from Daniel and the crew ….. apparently Justin the manager is a good guy as well…..According to Daniel….. maybe with the great leadership and attitude from management….. maybe just maybe that’s why I got to enjoy my food and my visit...

We have been dining at Rockfish for many years and we're super excited to know that a new one opened up on Camp Bowie in Ft. Worth. We started out with the fish tacos and immediately noticed the waiter was not engaged as it seemed as if he was somewhere else. Once our order arrived, it was not the portion we had ordered. So we chalked it up as a simple mistake, and then we ordered the market atlantic salmon with poncha train. This night it was slow overall, but it took about 30 minutes for our order to come out and the waiter did not check on us until he brought the ticket at the end of our meal. A customer who sat beside us was equally dissatisfied and nearly walked out. She commented the server seemed to be zoned out or took something. In summary, the food was great, atmosphere is wonderful, and pricing is reasonable, but the service was substandard. We will try it again with hopes that this review will encourage the management team to ensure wait staff is properly trained to engage customers as part of the overall...
