Eel Valley Appliance — Local services in Fortuna

The customer service was terrible. Purchased a new washing machine as a surprise for my wife. The salesman informed me that they didn't have one I wanted in the store; but, they had two in the warehouse and they would have someone bring one over to the store. I told him there was no hurry and I would be back in a couple of days to pick it up. Two hours later they called and told my wife that the washing machine was ready for pickup. SURPRISE. I went in two days later to pick up the machine and talked to the service lady at the counter and was told to back up to the loading ramp and they would load it up. Waited outside for five or ten minutes and was informed that they didn't have the machine in the store and that they had called and informed my wife that I was to have called before picking up the machine. Everyone in the store except the warehouseman did not seem to be concerned that I had to wait or that their had been a error somewhere. Their lack of empathy...

My mom and dad have bought many appliances from here: 2 microwave ovens,a $2500 stove and a $3000 refrigerator. The fridge was bought in 2015 with an extended warranty until 2020. Fridge stopped working Saturday night so my mom was transferring all foods to the downstairs' refrigerator. Sometime during the early morning hours their power went out due to a snow storm. Eel Valley Appliance told my parents that the fridge broke because the power went out and they wouldn't honor the warranty!!! My elderly parents have been EXTREMELY good customers and this is how they are being treated?!?! Is this how a local company honors valued customers?? If so, I really don't recommend ANYONE to patronize this establishment!...

If I could give this place 0 stars I would , they act like your best friend when you buy something from them . Whenever something broke they acted like I some how I broke it , this happened to me on 2 different occasions , I would never recommend this place to anyone. I had 6 month old washer break and brought it in and they try to say I opened it up and messed with it , I told them why would I take apart a brand new washer ? They reluctantly fixed it under warranty. Then I bought a floor model fridge and it never worked , same thing they tried to say it was my fault some how . Again they reluctantly replaced it. Place is horrible , hope it goes...
