Schiff's Marketplace — Local services in Forty Fort

This is a small grocery store. Just for comparison it's roughly half maybe even a third the size of your average weis. Some items and I stress only some are more expensive than it's larger store counterparts, but that is expected. It is a convenient place to shop if you live close by and for the purchase of restaurant goods. There are bulk items specifically meant for businesses. Me personally I only purchase certain goods here; produce, meats, deli items, dairy, snacks seasonings. There meat products are always fresh and high quality. There is a counter in the deli section with all sorts of prepared and ready to eat foods. RTE includes mashed potatoes, chicken fingers, wings, fried chicken, pulled pork, veggies etc. Prepared foods that require reheating include potpies, lasagna, meatballs, etc. Great place to grab lunch on the go or last minute dinner for the family. There are a decent amount of pastas and some desert items including rice and dirt pudding, ambrosia salad etc. The deserts are amazing. Typically you have to arrive early if you want the rice pudding or ambrosia salad because they sell out really quick on a regular basis. Ive already called to have some held for me. Other facts; there is a lottery machine at the front of the store, tobacco products are not available for purchase, staff is always knowledgable, helpful and pleasant. There are 3 register lanes, but check out remains quick and seamless. There is ample parking. There is a ramp at the entrance for handicap access. I came to the store at 4:35 to grab some lunch meat as I always do to be greeted by an older lady at the deli giving me the nastiest looking face you could imagine!!!!! She told me they were closing at five was very ignorant and very rude, She then cut my turkey and when I held out my hand for her to hand it to me she rudely threw it on the counter instead of handing it to me!!!!!!! I then told her thank you and she gave me a miserable look just turned around and walked away.. I mean, if your sign says you’re open until five that means you can purchase something until five. I have never been treated like that by an employee at this store!!!! I shop here often and have never been treated like this!!!!! Your prepared food is like a mother's homemade food kicked up a notch. Total comfort is the best compliment I can give. Please keep it consistent- I will be over every week and as I let people that I know try your food- they'll be there as often as I will be. Your prepared food is fantastic- I can't believe how incredible your breaded pork chops are- there's no comparison. I never liked them because they were bland,dry and flavorless-
