I spent 2 hours at the store because I enjoy finding a good discount. Brought my items to the cashier and was told to wait while she double checked a price tag (since I found a great deal on a clearance item). The cashier came back and told me the clearance tag didn't belong to the item and I had to pay the regular price. First of all, the store should make sure their price tags are correct. And if they miss it, as good customer service, they should've just honored the clearance price. To double check your tag after in front of me and other shoppers after I've selected my item is highly offensive because you are wasting my time looking through the clearance section and then making me wait while you double check the tags, making me feel like I'm the dishonest one switching out the price tag. The same thing happened to me the week before, except the cashier came back and said all my tags were correct. This seems to be a new policy they recently decided to implement as it has never happened to me in all the years I frequent this location. For a new dollars, it's not worth T.J.Maxx offending a longtime loyal customer who frequents the store on a weekly basis (so much so that I thought it was worth carrying around their credit card for the rewards). Just not good store policy. There are many other stores I can choose. I called corporate and they confirmed that is their standard practice. If corporate thinks that this is a good policy, then they'll be losing a lot of customers to other businesses. I come to the store for discounted prices NOT DISCOUNTED CUSTOMER SERVICE. I had been living in the Cypress area for the last 20 years and was really sad as one by one the stores in that area closed their doors with no plans to relocate. So when I moved to Huntington Beach last year I was really happy to see this T.J.Maxx store. Although this location is not a large store, they have an amazing selection of quality merchandise . The management has a great team of people who not only arrange the different departments with style and eye catching displays,, the layout is simple to navigate. Sales and markdowns are ongoing with discounts up to 75% . Customer service is always the best ..I honestly have nothing but positive things to say about this T J. Max location...
   Read more8 cashiers and then as soon as we approach the front of the line, 5 decide they’re all gonna go on break or something. 1 and 3 have customers and 2 takes her sweet time putting something away. Probably at least 2 minutes. 1 is done and then also takes her sweet time to put hangers away. 2 comes back, pushes the button for us to come. Doesn’t greet us. Doesn’t say anything. Doesn’t ask us if we want to sign up for a TJ Maxx card. Barely does her job. Great job Irene. Great…job…
As for the store, the managers should probably do their job and make sure their employees are doing their job....
