I do not recommend this archery department at all. I would visit Orange County Archery instead for all your tech and range needs.
Long story short, I visited this store in December to get a peep sight adjusted. The archery tech made a mistake putting the string back on and when I drew back on their range, my bow basically exploded. That wasn't a huge deal for me, mistakes happen, I get it. However, it took Ralph about 3 months to get the bow fixed and back to me. Every time he called me saying the bow was ready for pick-up, when I got there, there was either some other damage I noticed from the original incident that Ralph didn't notice or there was new damage that was caused during his most recent attempt to fix the bow. Ralph was often dismissive of concerns, impatient, or rude during my interactions with him. When I left the store for good with my bow finally fixed up, I brought it to Orange County Archery for them to look it over and double-check the work. They noticed screws that were overtightened and stripped, a D-loop that was too tight for my arrows, and that my arrow rest was not set up correctly.
Near the end of this 3 month period, I called and got ahold of the district manager who oversees the store. He offered me a speed bag archery target to try to make it right. I appreciated that offer, but I still would not recommend anyone to visit this store for any archery...
Read moreVery knowledgeable, patient, and informative staff members. James W made my selection process more than enjoyable and the recommendations he made were excellent considering the options available at the time.
Now, for those who are bashing Turners in regards to them having to "turning people away" OR "start a list" because of the 60 people waiting outside... Look at the positives -They still managed to stay OPEN. They created a list as well as a 6 foot policy to keep us safer. FOR US despite all the warnings. Stop the nonsense.
What really happened - I waited my in turn in line at 9am (everyone 6 feet apart), got on the 3rd page of the list, was told it could be 2-4hours (he was very honest with everyone, I sat in my car on my laptop for the duration and listened to him tell 200plus people the circumstance...not easy and he managed to stay polite in my opinion), it ended up taking 3 hours. They then called me, I walked up and they let me in and conducted my business.
Big thanks to the door guy for dealing with the crazy people, James for keeping a great attitude throughout the adversity, Sunny for the customer service, and I believe the assistant manager who very was helpful upon my second visit.
Thanks again guys! You'll...
Read moreI will never buy anything from them again. I agree with a lot of the comments here. The counter employees are very rude. They lack basic customer service skills. I have bought 4 firearms from them in the past. On my last purchase they gave me a really hard time because of my ID and denied me until I had that fixed. Of course they told me that after I had made a deposit. I have 2 last names and in my passport there is a space in between but in my ID there is not. I told them that I had bought guns there in the past with no issues but they didn't care. I asked them if I could buy ammo and they said no. They didn't even bother to run my background check. After a long time of going back and forth to the dmv and waiting for a new ID I went back and finished the transaction. That same day I got denied by them to buy ammo I went down the street to LAX ammo (first time there) and I was able to buy with no issues. In a way I'm happy that happened because that made me try other stores and found out there are better deals and friendly employees out there. LAX ammo, rifle supply, rifle gear, ammo Bros are way better options.. management needs to sit down with their employees and slow their power trip. DON'T...
