Marylyn was my stylist. I had asked for a simple ombré and I had went in with the hopes of getting just that. I usually see Jen, and I am amazed with her results, so I figured it would be the same. I had showed her a picture with an ombré, and specified that I wanted just that. She gave me highlights, and a chunk of blonde in the back of my head. I was very unhappy with my results and decided to call back and request a fix. I asked for a fix with Jen, but of course Marylyn was the one who was going to fix it. I went in again and had both my mother and I SPECIFICALLY ask for an ombré only 4-5 inches up from the tips, and I showed multiple pictures once again. I received blonde 2-3 inches away from my roots all the way down, and the top layer of my hair was completely untouched. I now have to live with my ruined hair as I don’t have the money to have it fixed again, nor the patience. I am completely unhappy with my experience, and very sad and frustrated that my hair...

To the person not pleased with her services from Tanda, first, I would like to say I am also a former hairstylist and pretty picky about my hair. Tanda is great. I understand that you may have liked it at first and then decided you didn't, but you should have gone back and talked to her not just blasted a bad review. I also understand that sometimes we don't want to wait for what we want, but I can assure you, if Tanda said you need to wait to do something else, it is in your and your hairs best interest. As for the permanent color... Unless you specifically said you didn't want that, it is what any hairstylist would have used. Tanda has been doing hair for 40 years and is a great stylist and colorist. This was one of the few places I've visited since the Covid-19 shutdown and I was already freaked out because I'm high risk, but when I walked in and saw several workers not wearing masks I should have just turned around and walked out. I even asked my hairstylist if the one stylist should have a mask on and her reply was, "They're probably between clients."

This place is small. To have them not wearing masks is not safe at all, since the stations are super close to each other. I had considered this my new go-to salon up until this experience.
