This place has potential but needs a bit of improvement on restaurant basics: For our first time experience here, the inside of the place is nice with booths. When we sat down, the first thing we noticed was paper menus which was off putting. There is also a super annoying beeping sound in front of the restaurant that never stops, accompanied by a radio station fading in and out. We ordered simple lipton ice tea for drinks and were brought back some nasty bland stale concoction that is apparently fountain machine tea. What kind of asian place doesn't have fresh brewed real tea? They also didn't have thai iced coffees either. The service we got was excellent so no complaints there. After we ordered, soups were brought out which were tasty for sure. Then the robot literally brought our main course entree out less than 2 minutes after apps. Now I love speedy service on food but here in lies the biggest problem with this place. That is that there is no way they could have possibly cooked our meals, fresh to order within that time. Believe it or not, when people go to restaurants, they are willing to wait to have freshly cooked food brought out. We had fried rice and one of their entrees, so there is no way that could even be flash fried in that amount of time. We were literally the only ones in the restaurant so the chef had plenty of time to cook us fresh food. So since everything here is basically just 'assembled to order', the menu gives the appearance of having tons of dishes, but in reality it's just preheated food sitting around that they scoop out of heated troughs. They also have no heat scale for dishes unlike a real thai place would have. I'd say there is no distinguishable differences between their thai food or chinese varieties on the menu. Everything is just kind of generic chinese. About the only cool thing this place really has is their robot to delivery food. My hope is that the owner/ chefs will read this and realize they have a huge financial opportunity coming up with the giant gym opening up next to it with lots of potential new customers. For each new potential return loyal customer comes 10+ additional ones via referrals, but only if they actually return after first visit. This can be a reality if they start cooking fresh food made to order that doesn't send you to the bathroom afterwards, otherwise you might as well just go the buffet because right now the establishment is just sub par buffet level food,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI placed an order at lunchtime yesterday and spent $25.00. I had to add a side salad to meet the minimum delivery order which I was fine with. When my food was delivered I noticed that the salad was dressed with Ranch Dressing, I am not only not a fan of Ranch, I don't like it at all. I called the restaurant and was connected with a manager. The manager advised that all salads come with Ranch. I explained that this is not stated on the menu and I was not told by the person who took my order either. He offered to bring another salad to me if I would exchange it for the one they had already delivered. Of course I will give back the one I am not going to eat anyway. I didn't want them to make a special trip just for a salad so I told him it was ok if they just brought it by when they were out delivering another order and he thanked me. The salad was never delivered so I called today to see if they would bring it to me and again I was connected with a manager (a different manager than yesterday) She told me they would deliver a salad without dressing. I then got a call (I think it was the delivery person) he told me they would absolutely not deliver only a salad unless I paid another $2.50. The salad was $2.75 and consisted of iceberg lettuce, 2 baby carrots and a few crispy noodles. I told him of my conversation with the manager yesterday and he said "That's not what I was told" and put the manger back on the phone with me for her to tell me the exact same thing after she had told me that the salad would be brought today. I have never known a business where the delivery driver tells the manager what to do!!
The food is good but the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I will NEVER give them my...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTonight I ordered the combo lo mein, cream cheese wontons, and pork egg rolls. The lo mein was actually the best that Iāve had in a long time. The vegetable to meat ratio was balanced and both were cooked perfectly. They did not have crab rangoons so I got the cream cheese wontons. I was satisfied though because there was plenty of cream cheese filling, unlike, most Chinese restaurants who severely skimp on cream cheese. I didnāt even miss the crab at all. The wontons were nice and crunchy as well. I wasnāt a huge fan of the pork eggs rolls but they didnāt have vegetable or chicken egg rolls. Thought Iād give them a try anyway. I was expecting very little pork (as with most Chinese restaurants) to be in them but there was quite a bit. Iām just not a fan of an abundant amount of pork so itās definitely nothing against the restaurant. If lots of pork is your thing youāll love them. Totally not complaining because I appreciate the fact that Moon Star does not cheat you out of fillings. They do give you your moneyās worth. The egg rolls were hot and had a very nice crisp to them though. All of the food was hot and my order arrived to me complete. They made sure not to forget anything. The containers were clean, no food or sauce running out of the sides. I really appreciate the fact that they use plastic containers rather than styrofoam. I ordered through a food delivery service app where I noted that I needed extra soy sauce and Moon Star honored my request. I really appreciated that a lot too. I definitely enjoyed their food and am very satisfied. Moon Star totally made my night at work very nice. I plan on ordering from them again in the future. Sending...
