Let me start out by saying I have spent hundreds of dollars at this shop before and always had an amazing experience. I brought my two sisters here while they where on vacation and had more minerals picked out to buy this trip. While I was browsing I saw they got a new deck of cards with different types of rocks with information about them on the back so I was going through the display deck to find a certain rock I was going to buy while I was there. Tee the lady at the cash register was extremely rude. “This isn’t a Barnes and noble either you buy or stop looking at it” was what she told me. I then put my minerals back and still told my sisters to get theirs even though they wanted to put them back. If they don’t want people going through their books or cards with rock information on them they shouldn’t have a display option. I could understand if I was standing in the way or taking pictures of the cards. But I wasn’t I was by the tiny book shelf seeing if it was worth buying and if they had the mineral I was going to get. Everyone else who works there are amazing humans and are so passionate about the shop and what they sell besides Tee. I will still recommend this shop but to make sure to tell everyone not to browse the tiny book shelf because according to Tee it’s a nuisance. I personally will never spend another dime there again. She completely ruined the experience of looking around the shop and the beauty that...
Read moreI was visiting AZ with family around the end of April and was excited to go crystal shopping. I found a small piece outside that was a white/green agate of some sort with druzy in the middle. It was stunning. I also picked a snakeskin stone. Went to check out and the lady in the front (she wears 2 glasses on top of each other on her head) admired the piece and complemented how nice it was. We bought a few items, and left. When we got home we looked through each of the stones to find that particular piece not placed in the bag. I was very upset. That was the piece I found and wanted the most. Called the store and they said nothing was left on the table and they would ask around. The next day I called again and spoke to a man that was helpful but couldnt find it either. Another cashier called to make sure it wasnt her who checked us out, and I told her it was an older lady. Long story short, bought a crystal and it was never placed in my bag nor did I get an offer for a refund. They also have you write every piece down with price, but dont let you keep the copy to see what you have purchased. I dont live in the area, and have given up trying to have them find my crystal that was mysteriously missing. I didnt want that energy from the store so left the snakeskin stone I did get in Dateland by a tree. Bad experience, bad vibes, bad juju. Not cool. Not...
Read moreWOW...I'm not a rock enthusiast at all I tagged along with my sister from out of town and so glad I did. Signs are liberally sprinkled over the property that guide and direct you to make life easier while shopping or just looking. I did alot of ooowing and Ahhing such fabulous wares. No pressure here so I was free to enter the wonderful maze of unimaginable beauty without feeling any force to buy but given lots of answers to my many questions. Gail was so knowledgeable and friendly. and open to questions or helping find a particular piece. The owner's friendly greeting and welcome was warm inviting us to ask any questions should we have any. We were given the ok to photograph anything should we choose to do so as well. Upon entering the building I was pretty much shocked at the amount of "Rocks" surrounding every nook and cranny. I had a sense of immediate peace and im not one to give 100% creedence that Rocks brings Zen feelings but it did for me. I left with a few minor purchases but my sister who makes her own jewelry was ecstatic at her finds. We will be returning since an hour isn't nearly enough to explore this acre plus property. Thank you for your kindness and for giving us such a...
