Mesquite Fresh Street Mex — Restaurant in Gilbert

I saw their sign for a $3.99 breakfast burrito and thought it looked like a great deal.

So I pulled up their menu to see where the 'catch' was and it only took a second to find. If you notice on their regular priced menu, breakfast burritos are $5.99. Which is apparently only for eggs and cheese (are there even potatoes?!) because to add meat it's an additional $2!

What kind of place doesn't just have the price of meat included in their burritos unless it's specifically a veggie burrito?

It's like selling a carne asada burrito for $10, but you have to pay an additional $3 for the actual steak. Lol.

Hard pass.

Edit: since they replied and said their burritos come "loaded" and with protein, all you have to do is look at the pictures of their menu.

They charge meat separately for their breakfast burritos.

Go to el Gordo a mile down the road and take the guess work out your ordering and give your money to a place that's straight forward with...

OK, I took my adult daughter out to spend some time together. She likes to try places she has never been before, so she asked if we could try this place. So, we went. Atmosphere is great, friendly service, but I found the food to be lacking. Let me be more specific, the flavors were not as rich as I would expect from a Mexican Grill with a similar set up to a Chipotle. When the lady picked up the sauce dispenser and asked if I wanted quac, I said yes. However, the quac was more of a pureed homogeneous sauce with no quac chunks at all. My daughter ordered a quesidilla with both chicken and steak and commented that all she could taste was the salt. The Pico de guillo was especially lacking in any rich tomato flavor and didnt taste good at all plain. We will not be coming back at a price of $12 per person for a meal we both agree was forgettable, except we will never forget the quac dispensed from a salad...

Annoyed. Placed a $75 order via door dash. Order was missing our appetizer. When I called they said it was their fault, not door dash and that they forgot it. We have a baby at home and have friends coming for dinner tonight. We didn't have time to grocery shop or cook, so we got takeout. Now my husband is leaving our guests to run to the store for an appetizer. When I called they told me I could ask for a refund for the appetizer through the Door Dash app. Clearly they aren't listening. It's not the refund or money that's the issue, it's the inconvenience of having to leave the house after paying for takeout, delivery and tip! If I wanted to go to the grocery store, I could have bought all of this for a quarter of the price and...
