Kada was terrible and I will never be back there. I never bash businesses but with someone who has family in the food business, my and my wife’s experience at Kada is truly unacceptable.
Got 2 sandwiches. The crispy pork and the lemon grass. Wife state her sandwich was some salted chicken with mayo. My sandwich was 4 small rectangular pieces and maybe 2-3 quarter inch pieces of the crispy (more like chewy) skin. Both sandwhich literally A PINCH of the pickled carrot (there might have been daikon but I couldn’t tell). Normally at Kim Thao, Mekong, even Lees, I have a decent amount falling out of my sandwich and on the wrapper but my wife was barely able to give my son a few pieces. And the best part, I had ONE SLICE (cross cut so it’s a circle) of jalapeño for my whole sandwich…… if there was anything else green in there, i didnt notice.
The blended matcha coconut drink was dry. The slush part was at the bottom was already melted and packed so the match milk mix couldn’t blend well with it. I get it’s for the IG shot but no. Also their cup is a straight cylinder instead of tapered so the last inch of drink was a pain in the ass to drink. Like whose idea was this? There’s a reason by cups for cold drinks are tapered towards the bottom.
Now the best part. The pop corn chicken. Other than the smell, everything was a culinary technical disaster. First off, ALL the pieces were 1/3 an inch big or smaller. Because it was so small, it cooks too past and every piece was chicken jerky. I get maybe it gives the illusion you get more but NO. Anything more than 1 minute would turn these pieces into jerky. It’s like whoever was in the back cooking never cooked anything before or just really hates working there to chop all the pieces into minced chicken. They offered a new one but it would have been the same thing. Told them whoever is cooking back there is too knife happy or not paying attention. Just defies culinary logic.
The only saving grace was the pan dan cake. Actually tasted like someone actually gave a damn about their craft. Everything was $36+. Waste of time and money and I’m never this unhappy as “I get it” working and making these this. 100000000% wouldn’t recommend to anything experienced or...

My partner and I ordered the grilled beef and crispy pork Banh Mi for hot food. For the drinks, we ordered the Pandan Latte with Oat Milk and Chrysanthemum Lychee GT (Green Tea).
The sandwiches were absolutely delicious! The meat was juicy and so flavorful while the crunch of the pickled vegetables made a delicious combination finished off by the delightful crackle of the bread. We ended up ordering two more to take home!
The drinks were so delicious too! The Pandan Latte was a very intriguing to the pallette, tasting like a South Asian floral vanilla, and mixed in with the oat milk made a creamy refreshing drink. The Chrysanthemum Lychee drink was bursting with flavor, and I loved how it had the perfect ratio of ice. Both drinks were not overly sweet which I appreciated.
The service was impeccable with friendly and knowledgeable workers!
Trendy, unfussy, delicious, and great service! 10/10...

Here at KaĐa, you won't have that problem. While I was expecting amazing drinks, their banh mi being so tasty came as a surprise! Banh mis usually have the reputation of having really crunchy bread that absolutely shreds the top of your mouth but not here at KaĐa. The bread is delightfully crispy on the outside, to the point where a thin layer flakes off, with the bread still be soft. Get it with crispy pork and you won't be disappointed. The lemongass chicken is also pretty good but the juicy fatty pork? That's where it's at!
As for drinks, the black sesame latte is amazing. It has such a great toasty roasty sesame flavor. It's a dessert in a cup. The sea salt coffee with the house foam is decent as well but that black sesame... it has stolen both my heart and wallet.
