Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in Gilbert

HORRIBLE!!!! Yesterday 9/20 was my sons birthday I ordered the football cake and when I went to go pick it up the ball was not brown it was PINK!! I told the employee I did not like it and she replied that the football was that color which I told her it’s not. Another employee came took a look at it and I asked her if it looked like a football 🏈 and she replied NO. I asked to speak to the manager employee went to the back of the store called her never apologized and told me to come back tomorrow so they can fix it.WHY WOULD I GO BACK ON A DAY I NO LONGER NEED IT?? I asked for managers number and was given the stores phone to talk to her. All she said was there’s nothing I can do until tomorrow. Again why would I want it for tomorrow if his birthday was that day. She then tell me I can pick a pre made cake. His cake was of cookies and crème the only close thing to that was a Oreo cake. Yes the cake was $48.99 I paid $35 she refused to give me that cake. So not only did I not get what I ordered but now I have to pick something I don’t want or like and on top of all that made us late because this when in for 25 minutes. Ordered a 1/2 sheet for my sons 15th birthday. My husband picked it up... I should have checked it immediately when he brought it home but with party preparations I didn't have time. Once the party started and I had a moment so I went to go take a look at it. It is so tiny! I had to go back online to make sure that I did in fact order the half sheet. I even looked up the dimensions for Baskin-Robbins half sheets which should be 6 by 8. This looks more like a 6 by 6 1/2. Too late to take it back now. And I know it's just a birthday cake (expensive but just a cake) but it's not even symmetrical. Maybe that's my OCD coming out but it should at least look nice right? They closed the Baskin Robbins close to us so we went out of our way to use this one. Sadly, I won't be going back. Or at least not ordering cakes from them. They are expensive and super tiny! I’m writing this review specifically for the 2487 S Gilbert Rd location. My family and I go there once or twice a month and the ice cream is always delicious and the employees are always really nice and patient with my kids who want a million toppings on their ice cream, but can’t seem to decide which ones! They’ve got awesome flavors and they have yummy dairy free options for me. The store is clean! Recently my daughter had a birthday party and she wanted a bubblegum flavored ice cream cake. I then decided I wanted to make her birthday party bubblegum themed and spoke of my vision with the cake decorator there. Look at cute this cake was!!! The cake decorator nailed it! And I had several moms at the party tell me that their kids now want bubblegum ice cream cakes too! Thank you for this...
