I went in 4 weeks ago and got acrylic nail tips - it took just under 2.5 hours to do, which seemed a bit long but I was fine with it because I would rather have lovely nails than rushed nails. They were super sturdy and well done.
I went back on Tuesday at 1:00 to get them taken off for school and work, and it took an hour and 45 minutes for the nails to be removed. Which again, is a while but I would be okay with it if it were well done. Sadly, I cannot say that. A newer cosmetology graduate did my nails originally, and then a second tech with more experience came after to help finish. I was given a 5 dollar discount, although it unfortunately left my nails in poor shape. There are several areas on my nails that still have residue on them, and other parts that are red where the nail has been eroded too far. I cannot wash my hands without heat sensitivity, and any pressure on the nail on those spots is painful. I couldn't communicate with anyone because neither of the 2 techs spoke more than a few words of English, so I gave up, paid, and left.
I was hoping my nails were just sensitive after the removal but the pain has continued. I hope in the future the training and staffing is to the point where communication and support is available so this doesn't happen again.
The second photo shows one of the nails that is damaged although it is difficult to capture on camera - the center tip has left over acrylic tip where it is thicker, and the left side of my nail is red where the nail was sanded too far and is extremely sensitive. I am about to graduate as a nurse and the state of my nails has made it difficult for me during class and in...
Read moreHighly recommend this salon, everyone here is so kind and welcoming. A few months back my two young daughters and I came in as walk ins just to get color on our nails, they were so sweet to my kiddos and made them so comfortable and even having to fix a few nails once or twice did just that with no issue at all. We have been going since and will never go to another place! Our nails are always exactly what we want and last! Also to add about a week or so ago my daughters and I went in for a pedicure and it was absolutely amazing! My daughters were so excited and a little nervous, (since at other places they weren’t treated the nicest.) When we got in our water was perfect and they had all the colors ready. My daughters got to experience such a Relaxing and friendly pedicure and both said they cant wait to do it again!( makes my mom heart happy) because they finally got to have the experience they should have had at the other place. Thank you VN nails for being absolutely amazing and treating...
Read moreThey are very RUDE and Nonchalant with their customers. I pray people google them before they decide to try them because if not they will be disappointed. They advertise "Walkins Welcomed" but are nasty to a Walk in Customer, the nail techs need to be trained in Customer Service and learn how to be Professional at all times. I was highly upset with how they spoke to my Fiance when he went to get a manicure. The way the tech spoke to him when he asked if he could get a manicure was unacceptable and disgusting. Then you have a sign saying tips are appreciated, well here is a TIP for you... If you treat your customers with some respect and learn how to talk to them nicely then maybe you would receive a monetary tip. If your work was good you would Not have to post a sign for tips it would be given Naturally because you do good work and the customer service was great. Evidently neither is the case in this Horrible Nail Salon. I wish I could...
