I dont often write reviews, but men’s warehouse deserves this one. This place is absolutely horrendous. On my first trip in to get fitted for a suit for my brothers wedding, that I was in as the best man, my father, and I went in, they took our measurements but didn’t have the correct sizes we needed to Try on. Once the suits arrived, mine was a rental, which did not fit at all. The pants were huge, and the jacket was way too small. I had to re-order the jacket and pants in different sizes a week before the wedding which was Saturday 7/12/23. They assured me that my suit would arrive on the Tuesday before the wedding and I could try it on with plenty of time before the wedding if there was an issue. I arrived at the store on the Wednesday before the wedding, giving them an extra day to get the re-order in. I went into the store and waited about 45 minutes with multiple people walking by me without asking if I needed any help. Finally a younger gentleman asked me if I needed some thing in which I told him I was here for a re- order pick up. He said that a manager needed to handle it, but he would look to see if he could find my order so I could try it on. He looked all around the store and could not find it. I was then passed on to another employee who looked around the store for another 25 minutes to not be able to find it the suit. I asked if it would make sense to check to make sure it was reordered, in which the employee still looked around the store for it, to then look it up and realized it wasnt in yet. They told me that it wouldn’t be in until Thursday, the next day. I called the next day and they told me that the suit still was not in and won’t be in till Friday. Now we’re a day before the wedding and I called and they said it would not be in till Saturday morning, the day of the wedding. I got there on Saturday morning to pick up the suit that finally arrived and low and behold the pants that were reordered were too small now. I ended up saying screw it, and ended up wearing the oversize pants and the reorder jacket that fit, kind of. When my elderly father tried on the suit he ordered and bought instead of renting, it was way too big and looked ridiculous. I gave my father advice to go to a different men’s store because they said there was nothing they could do for him except for what they got. He went to Milton’s after I had a great experience there for another wedding and got a suit that fit perfectly. The suit i got for the other wedding from Milton’s was bought not rented and was cheaper then the rental at MW.
After the wedding, my parents returned the suit I rented on their way home and they were going to try talking to someone about it because the whole process was unacceptable, but weren’t able to due to the fact that there were about 10 people in line waiting to be serviced by the staff. After waiting about 25 minutes they just left the rental on the table and left.
Lastly, I just got a call from my sister who ended up only renting the ties for my brothers wedding for her children because the suits at Men’s Wearhouse did not fit and they did not carry their size. When she went to return the rental ties, they tried to charge her late fees, saying they were due back the day of the wedding. She fought them and didnt have to pay, but this just shows you how this place runs.
I will tell you right now if you have a wedding coming up or need a suit at all, go to a better store and stay away from Men’s Wearhouse. I wouldn’t be surprised if this place goes under, just like...
Read moreI'm giving this review 1 star because while some of the management/staff at this location - in particular, Sean/Shawn - were pleasant and the suit itself - what parts that eventually arrived, anyways - that I eventually received was of decent quality, I have unfortunately had an extremely disappointing experience with Men's Wearhouse, and anyone looking for custom men’s wear should avoid it at all costs.
For reference, I ordered a custom suit - jacket, slacks, and a vest - as well as four shirts to go with it in November, with the hopes of having it ready well before the holiday season at the end of December as well as any other events that would come up. I was told to expect a call within two to three weeks notifying me when they were ready.
When I actually came in to pick up what I had purchased - in December, after I instead had to call in to the store just days before the holidays and well after I was originally told to expect a call from the store itself - I was again dismayed. The suit jacket and vest were fine and fit okay, but those were the only two among the six items for me that were. The suit pants were far, far too long - it was explained to me that it was policy/procedure of Men's Warehouse that I would actually try on the pants so that they could be hemmed by the on-site tailor, but as I had come somewhat close to closing that there was no tailor and it would necessitate yet another next-day visit - again, a surprise to me since this was not explained to me when my measurements were done. We managed to get them hemmed the next day, but I was informed that my shirts were still being prepared and would not be ready until after the new year. Yet another delay in an order that, by this point, was already a few weeks late.
When I finally came in to pick up the shirts in January the sleeves for all four shirts were almost hilariously too short for my arms. The cuffs weren’t just a little off, they were fully closer to my elbows than they were to my wrists. As a reminder, these are for shirts that I had specifically been measured for.
I asked how soon it would be to have the shirts re-done, and yet again I was given an estimate of two-three weeks, given that Chinese New Year was upcoming. By February, not only were the shirts still not ready, it appeared that no work had been done whatsoever to amend the issue - the original, too-short shirts were still in a bag in a backroom, but the associate who had come to help me found no documentation or proof that any work order had been done or replacement had been requested. Perhaps foolishly, I again allowed an additional two weeks grace to rectify the issue - and yet when that time had come and gone, on February 22nd I arrived yet again to find that the shirts were still nowhere to be found. Even attempting to get a refund by this point was like trying to squeeze blood from a stone: rather than an immediate refund I was given the option between store credit - almost insulting given the circumstances - or a check in the mail, which over a month and a half later appears to have never arrived despite having a receipt documenting my request.
I cannot stress enough that you should avoid doing business with Men’s Wearhouse if this is the standard of care that they...
Read moreI’m posting 3 stars based off the entire experience. Eric deserves 5 stars, he was amazing and completely saved this sale. Jillian on the other hand would get 0 stars if that was possible.
Myself and my two sisters went to the Framingham location to get mg youngest sister fitted for her custom suit. She is being deployed to Korea on Jan. 2nd and will not be home until a few days before my wedding in July. Jillian gave us such a hard time saying that we are “gambling” with her suit because my sister could lose or gain weight between her fitting (which we are completely aware of, given the circumstance but we still wanted to get her fitted since this was the only time we could). Jillian kept saying how uncomfortable she was doing the fitting and that the sizing would be all off. We kept telling her we were aware of this but since this is my little sister, I want her in my wedding and matching all the groomsmen. She then asked why I didn’t just rent since that would be easier than a custom suit. I then asked her if she was worked with people who have been deployed before and she said she has but they usually rented the suit. Then when my sister was trying on the suit, I had asked about a women’s cut because at my MW, they said there is a mens and a women's fit and Jillian said that that meant nothing, there was no such thing as a men’s or women’s cut, just that they asked on the website who was purchasing to get an understanding of the demographics. She then was upset that my sister was only going to be home 3 days prior to the wedding (I am just thankful my sister can even be home for it since she will be stationed out of Korea) and said she had to come in for her final fitting but it would not be guaranteed to be altered on time because it takes about a week. So I then said what was the point of her coming in 3 days before if they can’t even get the suit done by the wedding? The entire time we were with Jillian, she was constantly saying that she didn’t feel comfortable doing the fitting and that we were taking a “gamble”.
Before she put in the measurements, Eric wanted to double check Jillian’s measurement and thank goodness he did because they were way off. They originally fit her for a 41 jacket and Eric measured her at a 38. Eric was awesome and did not make us feel guilty or bad at all. In this situation, we cannot control where she is being deployed or what time off she can get and Eric was so understanding of that. Jillian on the other had made us feel so uncomfortable as if it was our fault she was being deployed overseas. At one point we heard Jillian say to Eric that she felt uncomfortable completing this fitting and left to work with another family. As rude as that was, we were honestly go glad because Eric saved this whole trip. And, Eric said he would ensure the alterations would be done within the 3 days she is home before our wedding.
We cannot thank Eric enough for all that he did. We wish we had dealt with him first because we almost walked out while dealing with Jillian. We are so excited to have him do our alterations in July and we are so happy my sister can be home to celebrate me and my fiancé’s...
