Stop & Shop — Local services in Framingham

I usually don't shop at this location but I did today because the Citizens bank branch here is open till 5pm. First I couldn't find any store flyers at the entrance, that's the first thing I pick up at grocery stores,to see what's up and always buy things on the front page ! I went and waited patiently at the service desk , my turn, asked where I could find this week's flyer, the clerk with a mask didn't help either she just repeated her lines from the store Manual ! In their fruits and vegetables section for example I picked a pack of cucumbers with a price tag right on them for $4.99 at the register it was on sale for $2.50 . I ended walking all the way to the corner of the store to show the kid at the self pay section the price of HTF SMK THK Bacon was $5.99 NOT $ 9.79 at the register. Catch my drift ! I placed a box of trash bags in my bag in the bagging area and the weight sensor didn't read it. The machine called for help and an employee came over, checked the record that had one item, the trash bags, on it and released the scanner with his employee card.

I then scanned a few more items and then paused, switch a box of K-cups from one bag to another, and the sensor again didn't read properly, calling for help.

The same employee came over, and although the record showed the K-cups as the last item, he checked the surveillance video record of me scanning up to the last item, those being the K-cups.

I can't understand why my privacy was violated and my integrity questioned by this employee due to faulty machine design, and I demand a full refund, counseling fees and a 1% equity stake in Stop & Shop and all...

Kind of disappointed. I am 65 years old and do not have a vehicle at my disposal. I have very few opportunities to get out to grocery stores. I could not find eggs, chicken, cream of wheat, paper products, cleaning wipes for sanitizing or any pump soap. That was half my list. Not for nothing people we are not getting nuked and bunking down in underground bunkers...the stores will stay open...think about others! Aside from the greed and fear that has taken over this nation do you realize that no matter how much you disinfect your space it will not help if the other spaces around you are not disinfected? Just food for thought. Stop 'n' Shop....all stores should consider a 2hour window when only the elderly can come in and shop...when everything is clean and...
