I'm just warning any introverts or autistic people that this location is very crowded and there is a lot of ambient noise. It's way too chaotic to be comfortable. There are no electricity outlets or I couldn't find one. But the man working at the cashier area was very polite about answering my question. I am sad the quality seems to have gone downhill especially the serving sizes of the lean meat proteins on recipes. I'm trying to avoid getting diabetes so recipes with all bread is not helpful when 3.5oz is actually only 1oz of lean chicken. That happened at another location also. Panera is now about selling very expensive bread lol... I worked at a Panera in high school, and while the menu had fewer options then, the quality and accuracy was superior to today's Panera Bread. Hopefully the organization will do what any struggling brand does to stay in business: reduce/streamline menu options, guarantee freshness, quality and omg customer satisfaction and service by ensuring politeness and professionalism of employees.
I really hope Panera accomplishes staying in business but it is scary to read hundreds of one star reviews and so many complaints.
Also, as an organization, maybe consider getting English language fluency classes for immigrant employees. That could do at least something to help the public relations of the brand.
Some of us citizens with undergraduate degrees are in the same job market as people who just arrived from other countries, and not all of us studied Spanish. If I want to study Spanish, I go to Spain, Portugal, or central or South America. If you want to study English, you go to North America or Canada or the UK, Australia, maybe some places in the EU. At least ensure that employees are fluent enough in English to be conscientious and courteous to all customers regardless of subjective individual demographics.
I prefer Einstein bagels over Panera, but they're really difficult to find nowadays. Just like how Barney's coffee has been completely replaced by Starbucks (and Barneys was much better just saying!)
North America seems to have gone to hell in a...
Read moreI like Panera, so the food was pretty good. Service was exceptionally bad. I ordered from the kiosk. When I finished ordering, the kiosk said something like go get your drink cup from the pickup area while we make your food. I walked over to the wrong person because the first person I saw was the man working the register. I shouldn't have been much of a bother to him because he wasn't helping a customer at the time. He got pretty upset that I was asking him for a cup instead of the pickup area. With a little bit of attitude, he directed me to the pickup area. At the pickup area, the guy there also seemed like he had never heard of someone getting a cup before the order was ready. He gave me one, but the whole process seemed weird since I was just following directions. I will add that I was really polite and friendly for all of this. I have a lot of respect for food service workers. Maybe the old guy was just having a bad day/week/year. We were on a car trip, so we got everything to go and didn't check the order until we were already in the car. One person ordered grilled cheese plus bacon for something like a $3.50 upcharge. The grilled cheese did not have bacon. This was disappointing. Another person ordered an apple as a side and received a baguette instead. This was less disappointing, but still wrong. Obviously, this wasn't fast food, but ordering and receiving our food took about 25 minutes. I was overall not pleased...
Read moreManager Heydy is a huge liability to your company. I want to say to start off the cashiers were pleasant. Unfortunately misunderstood my order. I wanted three “large” soups with bread bowls. Which was misinterpreted as 3 bread bowl combos. Not a problem. The problem is when going back inside willing to pay for my “large” soups not causing a fuss. Understandable that it is closing time. Things happen, but what wasn’t right is how the manager was unwilling to work with me. On how to successfully have a happy customer walk out. Instead she proceeded to speak Spanish aggressively at the cashier, saying “How is this my problem? We are closed” Then proceeded to tell me registers are down and all the soups are pulled from the line. I could literally see the soups behind her just sitting there, easily accessible. So then I ask if it would be too much of a bother for a box of honey buns just for the inconvenience and the aggressive shouting. She said she would break down a box and give me “one”. So here I am parked outside this horrible establishment that gave me nothing of what I wanted for $50. I don’t know about you guys but I’d stay farrrrr from this place. Or the company should replace this manager for her restaurant edict just isn’t there. I thought Panera bread was better than fast food. I guess...
