Franklin has become the new “Mecca” for vintage, repurposing, and antique/collectible shopping. Getting a piece of that pie is becoming harder due to the influx of shoppes and sellers in competition. The spring and fall Vintage Festivals have been a boon to the antique and vintage sellers of Franklin! These two festivals, alone have been the deciding factor for some “brick and mortar” sellers teetering between staying in business and giving up. From the variety of shops downtown for shopping to the restaurants; not to mention the parks that are all within walking distance. Plus, they have Franklin College with its beautiful campus, and historic buildings that are gorgeous. We have been 3 times recently and were fortunate to be there during their Fall Festival which is an outdoor event with lots of vendor and food booths, and an outdoor stage for bands.
