I'd like to review the Shoppes at Wyndham as both a consumer and an entrepreneur who inquired about leasing one of their open storefronts. As a consumer the shoppes are conveniently located in Franklin, offering a central location between many subdivisions, that had to travel more than 5-10 miles for most shopping trips, prior to their grand opening. However, after nearly a decade the storefronts still have far too many vacancies. Additionally, ownership has yet to attract a family friendly sitdown restaurant that might attract additional visitors. Several years ago my wife and I looked into moving her two jewelry stores into the shoppes. Unfortunately, for the rent that ownership wanted to operate even one store, we were able to keep both of our storefronts in Greenfield and Greendale, both of which were located in areas that see almost twice as much traffic. As a result the landscaping that should invite additional visitors still remains incomplete, leaving the impression that the shoppes are still under construction. Ownership seemed to lose their motivation after signing leases with big chain stores Target and Roundys. Thus, what could have become a centerpiece of commercial activity in a community that desperately needs a focal point because many of its subdivisions are so isolated from one another, leaving much to be desired by this loyal...
Read moreI believe this is where The Weather Shed is located. Really wish it was in VA instead of WI! The proprietor is super friendly, really nice, and refreshingly helpful! She has home decor items, sells chalk and mineral paints, also furniture transfers and decoupage items. She even gives workshops on how to use everything she sells. I bought paint for my kitchen cabinets and she answered all of my questions. While she was not pushy with sales she did suggest all of the correct items to use in order to get the results we were looking for. She even asked that we send her photos of our completed projects! I left feeling super excited about my project, the products I purchased, and the help with technique I received. If this type of thing interests you, then you gotta go...
Read moreThis mid-sized Pick N Save grocery store offers a good blend of products. This is not a large super-store, so some product choices are limited. The produce goods, deli, cakes, meats, and other items again- won't rival a larger grocery store's selection, but most staples are available. This is a nice location if you need a few items, or you wish to avoid big-box locations. On good days- you get friendly and available staff. On bad days, there might only be on cashier to help bag a cart-full of goods for you and others in that line. They do have self-serve check-out line too. Personally, I prefer the Festival Foods on Hales Corners, but if I'm picking up prescriptions at the CVS in Target, the Pick N Save is...
